To all you guys arguing about religion...
What defines religion to you? Do you think someone is religious because he mentions a Supreme Being? On the contrary...
How would the Big Bang have started? Why did this cataclysmic explosion subsequently result in the formation of planets and celestial bodies, including Earth? Why is Earth the only known planet to have life? Why wasn't the Earth pushed one million or so miles toward or away from the Sun? Why does anything function? Why are things in MOTION, and not still? Did we really come from a rock? Why isn't macro-evolution taking place? Are there verifiable resources concerning the accuracy of these dating methods, such as carbon-14? Why are people forced to tolerate evolution, whilst Christians or other religions have virtually renounced their right to speak, lest we be persecuted in various manners? WHAT IS TRUTH? Does anyone know it? Evolutionists, think about that. How much fact does evolution rely on? Have you ever thought about the WONDERS of the human mind? Why, in so many thousands of years, haven't apes learned to shave themselves? Why haven't they learned to communicate like humans? WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF LIFE? DO WE LIVE TO DIE, OR IS THERE SOMETHING GREATER THAN THIS EPHEMERAL LIFE? Think about that.
peace

Jesus lives!
Jesus is alive and true, and I honestly hope that people would try harder to know him.

Adventure with Early Man - Prayer of One
A PRAYER OF ONE
A Poem
Swinging through the trees,
eating bananas on a branch,
Along comes a leopard,
taking the ape to its death.
For a fleeting second, intellect strikes...
a creative thought enters ape's brain,
"why? why, must I die?
I want to survive!
We are far too good...
the smartest of all beasts!
this fate that my kind suffer,
is unfair, injust... to say the least!
Why must we apes be left unsheltered
from hungry, carnivorous beasts,
Why must I have been on a limb,
exposed as vulnerable prey?
As Leopard tore into ape's jugular,
darkness overtook the ape.
Silence... and satisfaction for the predator,
That is nature's way.
God heard the prayer of the innocent ape,
God considered her desperate plea,
God thought and pondered ~
if ape could build houses,
if ape could cultivate farms,
if ape could fend off predators...
MAYBE I can answer this humble prayer of one.
Ape evolves into man.

However, neither source, (supreme or primary) are overwhelming enough as to negate the need for faith, which is the one thing God wants, which is the one thing He cannot create."
Doesn't history show us, it is better, for men to have more faith in themselves?
When man has searched for God, they climaxed in 'faith' only by performing human sacrifices and other acts vainly committed out of superstition... even the religions are evolving -- doctrines and creeds always in transition -- can anyone show me where God's blessings, are the one and only cause for our modern prosperity?
One proof.
Men believed in God and Christ during the Dark Ages... during the Inquisition... during the Thirty Years War... and man did not prosper.
When man finally turned to searching for science and fact, man has prospered. Modern Prosperity is due to our founding fathers who were in support of a Secular Government... a Separation of Church and State.. never again another State Religion.
Since that time, man has increased in wealth, health and happiness. Education for all, people are living longer lives... and faith is statistically dwindling.
Maybe this is what God would want.
'The gods will not do for man,
what man can do for himself.'

No Rules
I am not accusing anyone of anything, but I have observed rebellion, and I have seen those who admit that they hate rules, and all authority of every kind, some even hate parents. Some people just have an easier time of admitting what they really and truly stand for and believe. There are many who freely admit that they love to be free of God, and/or a God, and admit they were horrors to raise for their parents. If you love being lawless ( speaking to those that do love it) then why try to hide behind the mask of education or crazy jargon most people don't understand and admit freely that they don't want to understand as many who believe like some of you that preaching is bad if it's about God and/or Genesis?
Trying to confuse people with words they don't know is not intelligence at all, when simple words can say volumes about life.
This message is not for everyone, only to those it applies to.
Most of us are not afraid of those who shout the loudest, or claim to be the smartest, or try to steal authority, the very thing they say they hate. When my tax dollars have to pay for a false religion in the school system,I do stand up and do something about it!
Thats not a crime, it's not heresy, it is fact!!!
Praises and Glory to God alone for letting people be educated in Science and all other subjects that those who don't believe in God claim to be the best at. If they are so intelligent, why aren't they smart enough to see that creation was made by God?
Why can't they use their own money to support their own agenda?
Hey,if you hate rules, it's your problem, not the world's problem.
Without rules you have a free for all,so those who denie God will in due time get what is coming to them by them.
Just admit you hate living right and be done with it already.

man cannot save man
Man cannot save man.
No man can save his own soul from going to the lake of fire except through Jesus Christ!
If you think it's hot near a star in space, just wait and test the LORD and see what happens next. Can you predict how long you will be alive? Well, if you don't believe in God, you'd better be right!
You have no way of proving that you are.

I'm Bran,
I am writing a paper in defense of Intelligent design, along with all of my six other classes I don't have time to look through 200,000 google items so if anyone can point me to any good defense of ID. Any help is greatly appreciated. I am also a creationist and a bible believing christian and any insight from creationists is appreciated as well.

I think the topic has long been pretty much off-topic.
Also, Desdamona - You are posting in a topic you shouldn't be involved in.
