Has there ever been a more cruel President than Trump? Today Trump ended the 'Dreamers' Program. This can be added to the end of a long list of cruel acts:

Percy writes: Has there ever been a more cruel President than Trump? Sure, Andrew Jackson is the one that likely heads the list; nobody did genocide better than Andy. But McKinley's treatment of the Philippines should also be noted. Then there was Ronald Reagan; maybe not as cruel as the first two but certainly right up there. Andrew Johnson, James Polk and James Buchanan also should deserve mention; Polk for his war with Mexico and Buchanan and Johnson for their policies before and after the Civil War.

Nothing happens over there without an equal and opposite reaction. South Korea does not normally go on the offence. I don't remember it ever happening in my lifetime, 52 years. North Korea holds South Korea hostage practically. When the hostage starts taunting, things are heating up. To think otherwise is foolish.
I am going to have to review your posting history. If it turns out that it is replete with more of this same kind of nonsense, I will know whether I am wasting my time. Do me a favor now, stop replying to me. I don't need your fucking review.

The entire video is worth watching, but I've positioned it at the most important part near the end where Sanders describes the greatest dangers to our democracy:

In other news Trump has reached across the aisle to make a deal with Democrats to keep the government open: Trump Backs Democrats to Seal Stopgap Budget Deal And given that this "reaching out" is at the expense of his leverage to get money for the wall, I find it very substantial. I wonder how his base will react to that and to his statements about taking care of Dreamers if Congress fails to act. It's a pretty savvy move, that is bound to get him some cred beyond his base. I would not have thought the man capable of so doing. Edited by NoNukes, : No reason given. Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also in prison. Percy writes: Sanders describes the greatest dangers to our democracy: That's a good one, the socialist is going to explain to us the greatest dangers to our democracy. Do you even realize how lunacy that is? We are a Republic, not a democracy. I agree with about 70% of what Sanders says. But that other 30% is way off, enough to destroy America. He talks about the Koch brothers (who I don't like) and can't see that what he described is happening in his own party. Not only that, it is happening to him. It's the same old tired rhetoric, and he's too stupid to realize it happened to him by his own party, or he is being paid off to act that way.here is no script. That's why he gets attacked from both sides. Basically No one owns Trump, t everything said from where you marked it is horse shit except the first couple seconds about billionaires buying government. Except they are buying the democrats, and the republicans. AKA the globalists. BTW, Hillary now blames Bernie, and Obama for her loss.

Seeing as you probably know next to nothing about his base, let me tell you what his base thinks, since you are too ignorant to figure it out yourself. First off his "base" is not a conglomerates. We are diverse. The majority of his base are not racist(no matter what you think in your pea brain). The majority of his base wants Mexicans to be legal, and pay taxes, but also want a wall. It's not just Mexicans that cross the border. Last bunch that busted using a tunnel, there were 23 Mexicans, and 5 Chinese nationals. His base already knew this was coming, a long time ago. His base knows he was a democrat once.As were most of us, or just independent. The only ones who might have a problem are a extremely small group of bible thumping white nationals. But don't worry, the media can make that group seem very large to you.

Well, that was a confused and argumentative hash. Let me see what sense of it I can make.
riVeRraT writes: That's a good one, the socialist is going to explain to us the greatest dangers to our democracy. Do you even realize how lunacy that is?... I agree with about 70% of what Sanders says. So what Sanders says is lunacy, but you agree with 70% of it?
We are a Republic, not a democracy. In this context the distinction is without relevance.
But that other 30% is way off, enough to destroy America. He talks about the Koch brothers (who I don't like) and can't see that what he described is happening in his own party. Yes, of course, but it should not be the law of the land that the rich can buy elections.
Not only that, it is happening to him. It's the same old tired rhetoric, and he's too stupid to realize it happened to him by his own party, or he is being paid off to act that way. This is just nonsense. The Democrats *and* Bernie Sanders are both on record as opposing the "candidates for sale" ruling of the Supreme Court.
No one owns Trump. True. He's crude and impulsive and cruel and the embodiment of chaos. --Percy

First off his "base" is not a conglomerates. We are diverse. The majority of his base are not racist(no matter what you think in your pea brain). Despite being diverse, there are still trends among the base, and those trends do not include support for the folks protected by the Dream act. You don't speak for everyone.
Last bunch that busted using a tunnel, there were 23 Mexicans, and 5 Chinese nationals. Interesting. The sources I look at given a completely different breakdown, with the majority being Chinese. But apparently, you are admitting that your diverse base is largely of one mind on the wall. Perhaps there might be other things they agree on.
His base already knew this was coming, a long time ago. I suspect that this is not true. Looks like your posts are not becoming more informative. But at least Faith agrees with you. I for one would be very interested in more elaboration on exactly what Sanders said that would "destroy America" in your opinion.Read not to contradict and confute, not to believe and take for granted, not to find talk and discourse, but to weigh and consider. - Francis Bacon

The only ones who might have a problem are a extremely small group of bible thumping white nationals. I give you credit for your own opinion, but your statement turns out to not be true about Trump's base. History has shown that DACA and programs like it are not popular among large numbers of folks, and in particular with Republicans. We know that from the legislative history of folks trying to get DACA like bills passed over the last 16 years or so. If Trump can manage to get Congress to pass something remotely like DACA, that would indeed be impressive. He could count on a good measure of Democrats to support him, but some Republicans Congress critters are already grumbling that they are not on board with the concept. Look how far we have come since the days when Reagan and HW Bush were competing on how compassionate that they could be on this topic. This can be found at many news sources, here's the NYT article: At U.N., Trump Threatens to ‘Totally Destroy North Korea’. Here's the key quote:
quote: North Korea does represent a significant threat, but Trump's words are the opposite of statesmanship and statecraft. The man does not belong in office. He is temperamentally unfit, unhinged one might almost say. --Percy
