JM: Well, I don't think he should go at all. The bible does not discuss vacationing in Brunei and therefore, Brunei does not exist. Is there evidence for a global flood on Brunei? Cheers Joe Meert

Since Quicksink isn't a YEC, at least we don't have to be concerned that s/he's going to be gone millions of years. Or is is that, since QS is on the evolution side, that "week" might actually be millions of years? We'll have to get a report, if and when QS returns, of what was done in this time period. Might it be a week of creation? Babbling Moose ------------------ BS degree, geology, '83 Professor, geology, Whatsamatta U Old Earth evolution - Yes Godly creation - Maybe

You are of course right that the Bible does not mention vacationing in Brunei, but you need to appreciate the context to realize the significance of this and to understnad that qs must go, as it is a place of special significance. Most of you evos never read the Bible for the true meaning but if you open your heart to it you will discover that it not only mentions behaviour in Brunei but directly links this to the evolution / creation debate. "Brunei" is obviously a slight corruption the Hebrew "biyraniyth" - a fortress or strong place. In 2nd Chronicles 27 we read that Jotham "built cities in the hill country of Judah, and forts and towers on the wooded hills." The wooded hills cannot be in Judah, and where do we find the most mountainous and wooded areas in the world: Brunei! Clinching evidence can be found in the full name of the state: "Brunei Darussalam". This is not only a clear reference to Jerusalem, but Darussalam means a place of peace: and were the castles of Jotham not built to preserve the peace? After building the castles in Brunei what did Jotham do? The very next verse tells us: "He fought with the king of the Ammonites and prevailed against them." I rest my case.

Quicksink: If you do not keep us continually informed of your whereabouts the Global Evolutionist Conspiracy / Secret Society will dispatch hordes of ninja paleontologists to track you. You do realize that over my spring break I flew to New York and didn't bother to even mention it to anyone? Shame on me.

I thought this might be an appropriate thread to post this notice. I'm going to give myself another break (second since november ) I'll get back here somewhere around next friday/weekend. I have many recent posts to critique and respond to, so I'll get right to it as soon as I can, besides, my books come in today/tomorrow/next week so i'll have to review them. Till then. ------------------

You also have some maths homework to do TC... Reposting:
quote: In response to TC`s claim that he is au fait with calculus... OK then TC answer the following... 1)Solve (x3 + 3xy2)dx + (3x2y + y3)dy = 0 2)What is the Fourier transform of xex2? 3)Find the solution of the wave equation corresponding to the triangular initial deflection. f(x) = 2kx/L if 0 < x < L/2 = 2k(L - x)/L if L/2 < x < L Initial velocity is zero..... (Incidently this question is about a string under tension....) Off you go TC....
