Obviously next to posting on the forums, I play CS, bike, and hopefully complete building a battlebot before I complete high school.

I play Football (offensive and defensive line), Basketball (Low post), Track (mile and two mile), and Ping-Pong (CanAmerica games).
I also enjoy reading books on the Creation/Evolution issue. I play trombone in my school band (3rd chair).
I am quite the video game freak as well. I play Command and Conquer: Red Alert over the internet, and I also go to the mall frequently to play Dance Dance Revolution.

Cool, I was a sprinter back in high school (100 and 220), course back then they made us run fast by letting the velociraptors loose

Low brass rules, I was a 1st chair bone and played all the way through my 2nd year in Grad school. Nothing beats going onto the field of a big 10 school in the fall during run on and having ~50 to 65k fans start screaming their lungs out.
I used to be a die hard martial artist, fought in a national tournament or two. Then I had a child (actually my wife did) and got old(er). Trying to get back into it though.

Go Illini!
They really did well the last year that I was there. Beat Blue but lost in the Rose Bowl. I almost went to U. Mich. for grad school. Decided to go to Rice instead.

Actually, as they appeared to have hunted in packs they were more likely to hamstring you with that big 3" claw. Kind of similar to wolves and lions.

My first reaction? What's free time?
I may be older than most here. I'm an avid tennis player, but I'm down to once a week now while waiting for the doctors to decide my hip really *is* bad enough for replacement. The last year that I was able to play tournaments I was ranked in my region. Those of you familiar with tennis's arcane amateur ranking system know that doesn't necessarily mean much, but hopefully everyone else will be impressed.
If time spent maintaining a website is considered free, then add that to the list. I also play chauffeur as I taxi my kids hither and yon. I can't imagine them driving, as will happen in just a couple years, but it will be nice to be able to spend an entire evening at home once in a while. Only problem is that I'll probably spend it worrying!
I also spend a lot of time trying to get the kids to clean up after themselves. I know, wasted breath, but I keep at it anyway. They've both posted to the site a few times, by the way, but neither is really interested in the subject. One doesn't believe in God (not my fault, I swear!) but *does* believe in ghosts - figure that!
I love watching the Celtics and the Patriots on TV. I have TiVo (never mind what that is, just get one!), so I watch everything time-delayed with no commercials or half-times. It's important to be able to watch a game in an hour, or two at most, else I'd never have the time.

Free time, well thats almost non-existant with me, someone in these forums is always keeping my head in the books. Mainly White Dwarfs Black Holes - An introduction to relativistic astrophysics, Plate tectonics and Geomagnetic Reversals, and the one I am doing the most with Radioisotopes and the Age of the Earth. Otherwize, I'm in yahoo Chats or Playin StarCraft Brood War on Battle.net
And of course I'm out somewhere at times, the mall, movies, hanging out, etc.

Out? You mean that there is an outside world?? Outside of work, childcare, ect, ect???
TC. Yes I know what you mean. I used to play Star Craft but now when I get on the computer at home it is generally to help my daughter find her Thomas the Tank Engine site. Have to say that I generally prefer that to destroying the Brood or the Psion jerks
Percy, I know what you mean re: the hip. I own pair of bad knees that I am probably going to have to have sliced and diced one day soon. That is one of the things which has made getting back into the harder forms of the my art more difficult.

With reference to the OP, please provide objective, empirical evidence that "free time" exists.

Actually, time itself does not exist
. Maybe that explains why I have so little.

"JM: Do you mean RATE?"
--Yes, after skimming the article and viewing your very confidently proposed assertions. I am almost positive you have thouroughly read through the book, and not just their list of experiments to be conducted untill 2005?
