Re: 50 shades of gaslighting
Now consider that the purpose is not to make Franken look bad, but it is aired now to distract attention from Roy Moore sexual predator
Not going to happen to me at least. But what difference do I make? I don't vote in Alabama.
By now of course, we know that there is another, more recent, allegation against Al Franken.

Vote for Doug Jones with Campaign Donations
Not going to happen to me at least. But what difference do I make? I don't vote in Alabama.
But you do vote in America, and winning a senate seat from the republicans would (a) knock Thrump down another notch and (b) help prevent more republican disastrous bills and judge appointments from passing.
You can help by contributing to Doug Jones
Go to Doug Jones for Senate
and Contribute
I have a weekly donation going to him, because Roy Moore should be in jail, not the senate.
Enjoy

Yes, I do care about the make-up of the Senate. What I am suggesting with my question is that a conspiracy regarding Al Franken is not going to have much effect on my opposition to Roy Moore. At best I will want to be rid of both of them.
My opposition to Roy Moore won't stop even if he is elected. It is not prefaced on whether or not Franken is guilty or innocent.
Past experience has shown that powerful lefties are no better at keeping their willies in their pants, and their hands off of some pretty girl's boobs than are their Republican counterparts. And today's climate is such that women are empowered to do speak out about that regardless of the whether the pervert is a leftie or a rightie. That's how it should be. O'Reilly is gone from Fox. We celebrated. Charlie Rose was fired today by CBS. Al Franken is under attack, and I doubt that he will be the last one.

The other woman
Well this just got a little more interesting ...
The image on the left is obviously photoshopped (where did that green patch come from on the wall) ... but why do that when you have the one on the right?
Well the word is that it was photoshopped as well:
quote:
facebook post
Some sharp eyed hero pointed out there was something fishy on this photograph.
And there it is. Clone duplication on the woman's shoulder where Franken's hand was.
There are residual smudges outlining fingers.
Anyone who's used Photoshop to play with images knows; you Clone the nearest clean patch and paste it over the object to be removed.
But you can accidentally leave "color smudges" behind.
There they are.
Shaped like "fingers".
Which means this was a lie from the BEGINNING.
and in the comments
quote:
Kris Broderick If you zoom in you can even see the blocks of cloned pixels... are very definitely not like the rest of the picture.
Why?
Because Franken's hand was on her shoulder, and they had to hide the fingers ...
So
Franken is being "swiftboated" and maligned with false information, in an attempt to deflect news from Roy Moore child molester, pedophile and statutory rapist, and to provide false equivalence to gaslight people, especially voters in Alabama, into thinking it's ok to condone\vote for despicable Moore.
quote:

The Al Franken Scandal Is A Godsend For Alabama Republicans
Nobody in the Alabama GOP wants to talk about Roy Moore it’s bad politics. Everyone else is fair game.
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. ― At the monthly meeting of the Madison County Republican Men’s Club here on Saturday, the subject at hand was Judge Roy Moore. You could tell from the way people kept talking about anyone and anything else, such as Sen. Al Franken.
The keynote speaker of the event, for which nearly 200 Moore supporters shared breakfast inside a Methodist church’s gymnasium, was Tommy Battle, Huntsville’s mayor and gubernatorial candidate. Battle noticeably avoided any mention of Moore despite standing nestled among gigantic Roy Moore election posters. He spoke about veterans, jobs, the economy and the great state of Alabama, but never mentioned the judge during his speech.
Another speaker, local criminal court Judge Chess Bedsole, also tiptoed around Moore, but drew an audible reaction when he mentioned the senator from Minnesota by name.
I read in Politico that Doug Jones is taking money from Democratic senators, Bedsole said to the crowd. The four Senators that gave him the most are, Kirsten Gillibrand, Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, and our good friend, Al Franken.
He added: If you want those people telling our senator how to vote and what to do, that’s what you’ll be voting for if you vote for Doug Jones. That’s a story that didn’t make the rounds yet and we need to start pushing.
Sadly this tactic will likely win, because republicans have shown time and again they don't care squat about morality if it interferes with the GOP agenda. They just talk about it to fool the gullible.

Devils advocate mode:
Of course, this might be a photoshopping by some left winger, to make it look like some right winger had photoshopped the image.
The image was photoshopped to remove the fingers that were not actually in the original picture. It's part of the liberal coverup.
Or something like that.
Or to cripple Franken's efforts to oppose the right wing agenda, such as weakening net neutrality.
Not to mention, Fox News sure must still be grumpy about that "Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them" book.

Just a bit of information about the first photo.
The EXIF data in the photo shows it was taken on the 21st Dec, at 5.19pm. Not the date Tweeden claims it was taken, on the 23rd during a 36 hour flight home. It also carries a date when it was last modified. That date is the day Franken was elected. Think about that for a moment. It's been sitting on a cd, waiting for the moment it was needed, since he was elected. The current sex pest furore, and Tweeden's book deal with Sinclair is ideal. The camera was a NikonD2H. Standard issue to Army photographers at the time. You are asked to believe that a serving soldier would not only stand back and let a civilan be sexually assaulted in her sleep, but take pictures of the assault!
Within hours of Franken requesting he be investigated, Tweeden accepted his apology for any distress caused. Thus she avoided repeating her allegations under oath.

Frankern: Resign Now
In today's Washington Post in the article ‘I know that I’ve let a lot of people down,’ Franken says on return to Capitol, this paragraph appeared:
quote:
As to why he is unable to say whether more women might accuse him of improper conduct, Franken said that is because the accusations aired so far took him by surprise: If you had asked me two weeks ago will any woman come out with an allegation like this, I’d have said no.
If Franken remembers decades of groping women's butts this poorly, if to him it is such a minor thing that he can't even recall these episodes, he should resign now. He's not fit for public office. He's much more fit than the groper/liar-in-chief, but he's still not fit.

Re: Frankern: Resign Now
If Franken remembers decades of groping women's butts this poorly,
Franken did not say that he did not remember grabbing butts. His statement only directly addresses surprise that women are coming forward.
Of course, that still does not make Franken any more fit for elected office.

Franken's did say that he does not remember incidents that appear in photographs. Those statements just were not in the parts Percy quoted. Percy's post was accurate.

As I've seen it, Franken is pretty much neither admitting nor denying any of the incidents. He certainly is taking pains not to accuse any woman of lying about it, although he did seem to imply that Tweeden was lying ("I didn't remember it that way").
He seems to be not contesting the charges as being true or possibly true, regardless of whether or not he thinks they are true.
He seems to be holding out for an ethics committee hearing (I think rightfully so), rather than getting into a public media battle of "she's lying, she's not lying".
I think the Tweeden matter is a Fox News based smear campaign, one without substance beyond the photo that Franken concedes as being a "seemed funny at the time, but it isn't" joke. Are there some "me toos" joining Tweeden???
Suppose most or all the charges against him are indeed false. If you were him, how would you handle the accusations?
