It's been a few days since I watched the video and my computer is being balky about playing it now.
My impression: At least what the camera captured, the headlights didn't seem to be covering the area very well, especially to the left side where the pedestrian was.
It looks to me like the vehicle failed to detect the pedestrian.
It also looks like the pedestrian failed to detect the vehicle. Why would someone walk out in front of a moving vehicle like that??? Busy texting???
