If you want to burn in Hell, that’s your choice.
You talk a lot about breaking God’s Law but you haven’t found one you would be breaking. The whole thing is a secular issue and therefore the province of government anyway - at least according to Protestant thought.

No, you've been arguing to change the consequences.

I've done both. If the law isn't going to be changed we have to take the consequences.

we have to take the consequences. Which consequences? Sell wedding cakes to people you don't like? Or not sell wedding cakes at all? What do you despise? By this are you truly known. -- Frank Herbert

I'm thinking of many different ways Chrsitians could be put in a difficult position in relation to gay marriage, not just through a wedding business, but any way we are required to affirm gay marriage. Issuing marriage licenses was a challenge for one Christian. And I'm sure it doesn't always have to involve something official or to do with business. Since we can't affirm it we have to take the consequences. Going out of business is one consequence. Paying fines may be another. Going to jail may be another. Simply losing a friendship may be another, and that's not one to be taken lightly either.
I know there's no point since there is a determination here to spin this as personal feelings no matter what I say, but I will just say it again: this is not about any kind of "dislike" of gay people or anything to do with discrimination against them as people, since there was never a problem for Christian-run bakeries and florists and photographers serving gays in any other context, birthdays, other celebrations, or just wanting something sweet to eat or flowers for a party and so on, only weddings; it's about the law legalizing gay marriage. Because we see it as clearly a violation of God's ordinance of marriage. Period. Edited by Faith, : No reason given. Edited by Faith, : No reason given. Edited by Faith, : No reason given. Thank God that God has no standing in a secular society and even the Bible supports common courtesy as overriding God's Laws.
But marriage is unrelated to any imagined God's Law anyway except in the mind of the Christian Cult of Ignorance, Biblical Perversion and Bigotry.

See how far you get pushing Muslims or maybe even some other classes of religious believer on gay marriage. So far the law has only confronted Christians, but there are certainly other groups whose beliefs oppose it.

Yawn.
If your beliefs oppose same sex marriage then don't marry someone of your same sex. But your problems and perversions are not relevant to society.

See how far you get pushing Muslims... Theocracy envy. Sad, and quite transparent.

If there is no problem with gays in general, why the pushback against insurance cover for gay partners? Even if they had a recognised civil partnership ?
If there was ever a compromise to be reached short of gay marriage, things like that killed it. And that’s on the Christians

I don't kinow the history of all that but I'd guess it's also about what marriage is and what it's for and not about gays.

If you don’t follow what’s going on that is your problem.
At least you can stop arguing that a compromise short of recognising gay marriage was possible. It wasn’t.

Jack Phillips is at it again. He's the Colorado baker who gained national attention when his case fighting for his right not to bake cakes for gay weddings went to the Supreme Court. This time he has refused to bake a birthday cake for a transgender woman celebrating her seventh anniversary of coming out as transgender. Mr. Phillips suspects, not without cause, conspiratorial shenanigans since the request for the cake came on the same day that the Supreme Court accepted his case, June 26th of last year.
The complaint states:
quote: The birthday of the HRC (Human Rights Campaign, the largest LGBT group in the country) is coming up in October. We should all call Jack Phillips bakeshop (Masterpiece Bakeshop, 303-763-5754) at the end of September to order a cake in celebration. The writing on the cake should read, "Happy 32nd Birthday HRC". Alliance Defending Freedom, a Christian legal nonprofit that funded Phillips previous case, said:

quote: It's a shame how ignorant so many particularly American Christians show themselves to be. The evidence, all of the evidence show that sex is NOT given by God, nor are male & female to only choices, nor must a critter be one or the other, nor is sex immutable and impossible to change. There are critters that are both male and female at the same time, ones that are male or female at different times, ones that are neither male or female, ones who are male or female depending on the temperature of the nest and even ones that change their sex based on population dynamics. Jack Phillips like Jack Chick is simply an embarrassment to all Christians capable of thought or honesty.
