How silly can you get?
It ought to be obvious that the press has not avoided attacking Trump's family though that is usually considered to be off limits. If they are willing to sink that low then they would also use the family dog to further their ridiculous support of the ridiculous accusation of Russian collusion. ABE: Their unconscionable attacks on trump's family have even provoked personal attacks on them by the public afflicted with "Trump derangement syndrome" NOTHING THIS LOW HAS EVER BEFORE BEEN DONE TO A PRESIDENT'S FAMILY OR A PRESIDENT HIMSELF. Almost every President has been attacked by some nut in the public - many of them physical attacks. Their unconscionable attacks on trump's family have even provoked personal attacks on them by the public....And our geese will blot out the sun.

No. The comparison is ludicrously out of proportion. No. THE LEVEL OF SLANDER AND FAKE NEWS AS WELL AS PUBLIC HATRED OF HIM AND HIS FAMILY HAS NEVER EVER BEFORE OCCURRED. NO. But the attack on his family is UNIQUE, NEVER EVER before has the press sunk so low.

So you offer no evidence, just more unsupported assertions.
Specifically, what is the evidence to support the assertion that "If the first family had a dog, they would probably call it a Russian bot."

If the press can sink to attacking the family of a celebrity it can certainly make the family dog support their ridiculous accusation of collusion with Russia. The press has become an enemy of public safety by provoking people to hatred and violence.

Faith writes: The willingness of the press to trash this President on the slightest excuse is unprecedented. That's one of the premises of chapter one of Pirro's book. In order to support that premise you must explain why criticism of such things as these are unjustified:

Again Faith; where is the evidence to support your assertions and the assertions made in the second paragraph of Chapter 1 of the book?

I don't have answers since I don't follow politics much these days, but I'm very sure conservatifves who keep up with these things do. Pirro probably does, so if I run across relevant comments I'll post them. Meanwhile my opinion is you are just falling for the leftist party line. You love to post long lists to promote the illusion you have lots of evidence. The lists you posted to prove me wrong on the last evolution thread I'd already answered but that doesn't stop you. It's an illusion you like to create and if fools you as much as anyone else.
ABE My guess would be that most of them are exaggerations, distortions, willful misunderstandings or the like. EXCEPT FOR THE ONE ABOUT MUSIM IMMIGRATION. Restricting it is the only sane thing to do and criticizing it is suicidal.. Edited by Faith, : No reason given. Edited by Faith, : No reason given. Edited by Faith, : No reason given.

Hey, neat. That intro reminded me a bit of Peter, Paul and Mary, but I see it was Sara Thomsen. Just a few minutes into it so far.

My guess would be that most of them are exaggerations, distortions, willful misunderstandings or the like. And what makes this a really good guess in my opinoni is that this is how most of my posts are treated here at EvC. If I don't get a break, or any other conservative or creationist, it's certain that Trump won't.

It ought to be obvious that the press has not avoided attacking Trump's family though that is usually considered to be off limits. You should clarify what you mean by "attacking". Is the recitation of facts considered an attack in your mind? Trump's family exercised an unprecedented degree of involvement in his campaign. They are also actively involved in the affairs of the White House (daughter), have accompanied him to meetings with heads of state from countries in which they do business, engage in diplomacy at his behest (son-in-law), and are in charge of managing his business affairs in a not-at-all-blind trust that profits from his activities as president - eg. parking the entire presidential entourage at his resorts.
NOTHING THIS LOW HAS EVER BEFORE BEEN DONE TO A PRESIDENT'S FAMILY OR A PRESIDENT HIMSELF. That is irrelevant with regard to the family, since no president has ever before involved so many members of his family in the presidency. As to the treatment of the president himself, no president has ever behaved in such a childish and inept manner. He has made his own bed, and he must lie in it. That's what my conservative values tell me.

Attacks on his family? Like when Rush Limbaugh called Chelsea Clinton the White House Dog?
And since fake news usually means accurate reporting that Trump or his supporters want suppressed I don’t think it is any sort of sensible measure.

First of all, thank you for writing a substantive post instead of just calling me names.
Second, I want to ask if you think the incidents in which Trump family and staff have been accosted by the public or turned out at restaurants and that sort of thing have anything to do with the press and if you think that's all acceptable treatment? In general do you believe there is an unusually high level of public animosity against this President and those associated with him generated by the press and do you approve of it? I think the press has a basic obligation to serve the public peace but that since Trump was elected they seem determined to whip people into a frenzy of hatred against him and against the half of the country that voted for him. Agree or disagree? Edited by Faith, : No reason given. Edited by Faith, : No reason given.

Faith writes: Second, I want to ask if you think the incidents in which Trump family and staff have been accosted by the public or turned out at restaurants and that sort of thing have anything to do with the press and if you think that's all acceptable treatment? The family and staff being accosted by the public are the direct result of the Presidents behavior and in particular his constant public comments that are either provocative, vile, racist, or down right lies. Such accosting (is there such a word) is not just acceptable but rather the duty of all US citizens. Even the President is not above the law and certainly should not be above common decent social behavior and Trump is simply unfit to be in polite company. Asking the press secretary to leave the restaurant may well be understandable but is definitely NOT acceptable behavior and may have been illegal.
Faith writes: In general do you believe there is an unusually high level of public animosity against this President and those associated with him generated by the press and do you approve of it? No. I do not see any signs on animosity against Trump but there definitely is, as there should be, responses to his behavior and posts. That is as it should be. The President of the US should be responsible for his behavior.
Faith writes: I think the press has a basic obligation to serve the public peace but that since Trump was elected they seem determined to whip people into a frenzy of hatred against him and against the half of the country that voted for him. Agree or disagree? No, I most definitely do not agree that the " press has a basic obligation to serve the public peace" and in fact the very idea that the press has a basic obligation to serve the public peace is destructive and entirely foreign to any concept of Democracy. The press has a basic obligation to serve the public; PERIOD. If that means reporting things that disturb the general peace then that is what should be reported. Edited by jar, : fix sub-title
