You've already shown us what causes the political chasm. It's people who will not be moved no matter what. The rest of the world can not move forward without moving away from them.

One shouldn't move from the right position, and if progress means getting progressively wronger and wronger, which is the case on the Left, there is no hope for the country.

There was a time when it was considered civilized to treat another's very different opinion with some respect. But the world has been getting less civilized by the minute it seems lately.

Spewing out things like "Liberal Nazi" surely aren't examples of civilized discussion. You are not here to debate or discuss. You are here to state your position and then complain about not having your words accepted as truth.

I'm not saying I'm innocent, I'm just pointing to obvious infractions. But also here I am in the midst of nothing but leftist voices slamming Trump in every possible way as well as his supporters, and most of the stuff is Liberal Nazi stuff. AND I didn't say I want everything I say "accepted as truth" although that would certainly be appropriate in many cases, just treated as a reasonable opinion that represents Trump supporters. Instead it's just one slam after another.

But saying that Trump could come shoot their children is just off the wall; no discussion is possible after that kind of comment.

I'd say that's a typical leftist paranoid fantasy about Trump that shows just how gaping the chasm is.

It is very clear that the fascist impulse is coming from the Left rather than the right these days. Reagan said it would and he was right. And I just heard a book read written fifteen years ago that described cultural trends that were leading to leftist fascism even then.

By the way, I mentioned somewhere recently, oh I think on the End Times Prophecy thread -- HERE: Message 292 -- that architecture and art in our government buildings displays a surprising influence from pagan Rome and Greece, mostly Rome. The painting of Washington in the dome of the Capitol building presents him as a god among the Roman gods. How weird is that? I'm not sure where but somewhere in all that Roman stuff there is an image of the fasces, which is defined as follows:

All this is completely at odds with the guiding principles of this nation, whether from the Enlightenment or Protestant Christianity and certainly ought to raise questions how it all got there and who was behind it.

That policy came from other sources than Trump as a way of dealing with ililegal immigrants.

All I know is that whatever Google has done to my blogs has made it impossible for me to read comments or even navigate behind the scenes in many ways as I used to, which has led me to more or less abandon them, though I saw this message again because I did want to write a couple of new posts.

As for the EU law, how is an American citizen now being asked to obey the law of a foreign entity?

No, you are not just giving facts; your whole method is to twist what Trump says into something else, something sleazy of course (he doesn't care about feasibility, only appealing to his base; it's really about making America "white" again, and it's all about making himself rich etc). As long as this is your method and you deny the way his supporters see it, you are only alienating honest people and there is no closing of the political chasm possible.

Foreign leaders wouldn't dare have the opinions they have if there weren't so many leftist Americans trying to pull him down.

There's nothing racist about anything Trump is proposing, that's just the usual Marxist Political Correctness designed to trash the man as I said, and as long as you continue to twist everything he says you will continue to alienate the rest of us.

All your analyses of him are the usual character assassination. If you wanted to talk policies you;d have to do it fairly and neutrally, but I'm afraid you are so committed to leftist tactics that isn't possible.

Of course we aren't going to budge on the twisting of his words and the fake news reports. It's the left that has to give on those things.
