Search Page bug
Pretty smooth transition. I hope I have as much skill in a transition I'll be programming at work in the coming weeks...
Small issue:
When using the search page (even just typing "god" into the quick search), the Topic column of the results page doesn't seem to display the "Posts: xxx, Pages: xxx" area correctly. All threads displaying in the search results show the same data, and this data doesn't include any actual pages after "Pages:"
(Using the most awesome Internet Explorer v9.0, to which all other web browsers say "hey, that's not microsoft's worst product")
For example:
Peanut Gallery (Percy)

Possible Future Upgrade
At the top of each thread page display, you show a chart with the following headings:
Participants (17) --- Posts (100) --- Answered/Replies --- Members' Posts Only
In the "Members' Posts Only" column you include the word "Fetch" as a link in order to show only that member's posts for the currently viewed thread.
You could do the following...
Only show these headings:
Participants (17) --- Posts (100) --- Answered/Replies
The "Posts" column already includes the number of posts just for that user... you could turn this number into the link to all posts from that user (replacing the "Fetch" link, and deleting that entire column).
Also, the number right after "Posts" (in this case -> 100)... could be a link to revert the thread view back to "Normal Thread Display", showing all posts instead of just a particular user's.
This would reduce bulkage and be intuitively user-friendly (keeping the hover-text would, of course, be even more helpful).
The number already represents how many posts are from that particular user... a link would intuitively lead one to be able to view just those posts from that user.
This would also add an intuitive place to change the thread view back to normal. Instead of having to know that such a link is also under each person's name/avatar on the left portion of the screen in the main thread-viewing area.
Your friendly neighbourhood back-seat programmer,
Stile

I posted twice to a thread in summation mode
The stuff in the top-right of the page says this:
quote:
Thread Info
Originated: 10-10-2012 2:27 PM
Total Participants: 23
Total Posts: 310
Summation Mode: On
Started at: 300 Messages
Who: Participants Only
I posted once in Message 302 and again in Message 310.
Both after Summation Mode was "started at: 300 Messages."
I don't think I did anything weird. If it helps at all, this is what I remember doing:
I did have 2 tabs open, though (Internet Explorer 11).
Tab A was open to make a reply that eventually was posted here: Message 33
Tab B was open to make the reply into the Summation Mode thread: Message 310
I would have posted the reply in Tab B first, then copied the "mid" number that created into the reply in Tab A... and then posted the reply from Tab A.
But... the software should have blocked my msg 310 (Tab B), right?
I don't remember seeing any warnings or popups or blocks at all. Everything just worked "normal" as if the thread wasn't in summation mode. I only noticed the summation mode when I attempted to make another reply to that same thread...
That makes me think... maybe it didn't block me from my 2nd post in Summation Mode because my first post (msg 302) was a normal specifically-linked-to-another-message reply, but my second post (msg 310) was just a "general reply" to the thread?
I dunno... have fun debugging!
I'm just going to go play over here.... weeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Re: I posted twice to a thread in summation mode
No, sorry.
I retried just posting a General Reply... and that was blocked.
I retried opening a reply to something else, then opening another tab and doing a General Reply that way... and that was blocked as well.
I retried replying to a specific message... but that was also blocked.
Looks good now?

Re: I posted twice to a thread in summation mode
I've tried, but I'm unable to replicate posting to that particular thread again.
I also tried looking through my post history to see if I could find something similar for me to test with, but I don't have any old threads with the following characteristics:
-last post to thread is before May, 2012
-thread is currently in summation mode (but not yet fully closed)
-"Stile" has already posted a summary message
I only found two threads that meet these criteria:
-last post to thread is before May, 2012
-thread is currently in summation mode (but not yet fully closed)
(Who can be saved? A Christian perspective and I Am Not An Atheist!)
-(the problem is I never posted a "first" summary message to either of these threads before May, 2012)
Maybe someone else who already has a normal-summation-mode message in those can attempt a "General Reply" and see if they can post again?
