The Christian Culture that might get destroyed by multiculturalism is simply a pathetic perversion of every good thing about Christianity; a worthless caricature of what Jesus message was and quite honestly, worthless and without merit already. It is a pathetic joke; a cult opposed to honesty, worshiping ignorance and with no contact with truth or reality.

Good. The sooner the world moves on an abandons the dogma you market the better the world will be.
And I am still addressing the actual topic by providing actual evidence. What is in the post you were replying but totally failed to address are Arabic Numbers. Islam gave us the concept of Universal Education, Science, the Scientific Method, Zero, Arabic Numbers, Analytic Geometry, Algebra; all of the things on which modern Western Civilization is based. And in fact, all of those things were the product of immigration, bringing together people from all over the Islamic world to share ideas. Immigration brings us new ideas, new perspectives, new genes and new cultural possibilities. The best and greatest hope for mankind is increased cooperation, increased immigration, increased liberalism, increased social responsibility and multiculturalism. Edited by jar, : hit wrong key

The fact that Muhammad required that everyone get schooling to learn to read the Glorious Qur'an.
The fact that Islam created all the basics that Western Civilization is based upon. Islam gave us Arabic numbers. Islam gave us the concept of Universal Education, Science, the Scientific Method, Zero, Analytic Geometry, Algebra; all of the things on which modern Western Civilization is based. And in fact, all of those things were the product of immigration, bringing together people from all over the Islamic world to share ideas. Faith writes: How can you just keep going on that way asserting this and that when you've offered not one iota of evidence of the one thing I asked it for: that he did in fact establish universal education. Even evidence of his mentioning it somewhere would be a start, but the original context was where it actually got established. Maybe because the results are more important than the origin, but if you had ever read the Glorious Qur'an you would know that read is the first command revealed and that reading is commanded of every man.
quote: The Madrasa system existed from the beginning of Islam and Muhammad was the first teacher. The basic was to teach people how to read and write the Qur'an but the madrasa covered far more subjects as well. There were two basic systems founded under the Sunni and Shia chapters of Club Islam, the Shia branch founded in Cairo in 969 and the Sunni branch in Iran around 1000. Source: the Qur'an and also Encyclopedia dot com as well as the fact that the Universities spread throughout the Islamic world at a time when Christians lived in the Dark Ages. But again, the topic is immigration and the fact that Christianity has a long history of being anti-education is pretty much irrelevant just as the fact that even today much of Christianity is based on avoiding learning and education and relying on dogma.

Phat writes: You do make a good point about Islam's contribution to global culture...specifically Western culture...but I think that you tend to generalize Christians and lump them into this category of avoidance of reality when in fact not all of us are like that. That does not change the facts that show Christianity for most of its history was anti-education and anti-knowledge. Remember that much of science learning was hindered by the Christian Church and that even much later when Christian Schools were created their primary purpose was to propagate dogma. Even today there are many, predominately Protestant Christian Colleges and Universities that are still avoidance schools and at the pre-college level there are whole Christian School systems Accredited by Avoidance Accreditation Systems teaching Avoidance curricula whose sole purpose is to propagandize based on the Cult's Dogma.
Phat writes: Unlike Faith, I have no problem with multiculturalism nor immigration provided it is regulated to some extent in order to preserve our middle class rather than force a bunch of old people to compete with a much younger world. Yes Phat, we know you fear having to actually compete. But the topic is not about what's good for just Phat.

Faith writes: Public education is not socialism. Public works are not socialism. Socialism is not the support of infrastructure or any institution available to all. Socialism is the taking from some to give to others. That is a truly stupid statement. Public Schools are funded by taking money and giving it to others. Public works are funded by taking money and giving it to others. Both involve taking money to give benefits to others socially. Only a totally ignorant or utterly dishonest person would claim that public schools, public highways, public police protection, public fire departments, public street lights, social security, medicare, medicaid, public sewers and storm drains are not socialism.

Faith writes: Public works are done for everyone and contributed to by everyone. Which is the definition of socialism.

Faith writes: The RIGHT use of taxation is for supporting government itself and public works, not socialistic programs. And so we return towards the topic which is immigration. If taxation has a right use, and you claim that it does, then taxation without representation, where the taxed do not have a say in how the money collected are spent, is anti-American. Immigrants, legal or illegal, pay taxes and therefore should have a say in how the moneys collected get spent; thus they should have a vote. Thank you Faith. Glad you support even illegal immigrants voting.

Phat writes: I was always taught that the Lord loves a cheerful giver and that one should give willingly rather than being forced. Correct Phat, if you have to be forced to do what needs doing then Jesus knows you are just a Goat. Whenever you begrudge giving Jesus cries.

Faith writes: Yes dear, Socialism 101 there, redistribution of wealth, from each according to ability to each according to need. No Faith, that is the message and Gospel of Jesus. Also that phrase was made popular not as Socialism but rather Communism; and Jesus was a Communist.

Faith writes: Weird. I have to prove that there's a difference between giving voluntarily to help out your impoverished neighbor and having to pay a tax to help him out that if you fail to pay it will put you in jail? Yes Faith, you will have to prove that since taxes are imposed by agreement of the people paying the taxes with the one notable exception that there is a small body of people who must pay taxes that did not get to have a say in the imposition of the taxes. You do know how taxes are established in the US don't you Faith?

Faith writes: If the cause of our trillions of debt is the funding of such programs, they have to be declared a monumental failure, don't they? The cause of our trillions in debt are mainly really really really stupid military and political decisions.

Faith writes: To me it does look more like what the Right says the Left is about: envy of the rich rather than any real concern for the poor. And what evidence supports such an assertion?

Faith writes: I get the impression of envy from the way you all talk about the rich as if they had no right to be rich and try to protect their wealth. .The way people talk about the wealthy is very grabby-greedy-disdainful-envious etc. So as usual you have absolutely no evidence and only the fantasy of your cult. Edited by jar, : No reason given.

Again, all you have is another example of Christian Cult of Ignorance carny sideshow; no evidence and lots of misrepresentation, unsupported assertions and fantasy based on fantasy.
First, there is absolutely no evidence that there has been any "Western Christian civilization" (AbE: at least in last five hundred years or so) just as there is no such thing as "The Bible" and so there is no way there could be any attempt to destroy what has never existed. The last Western Christian civilization was the expansion of Christianity as the State Religion of Rome. Edited by jar, : No reason given.
