It's something I've heard for years that conservatives and Christians give more than liberals do. But here's an article on the subject:
Bleeding Heart Tightwads: This holiday season is a time to examine who’s been naughty and who’s been nice, but I’m unhappy with my findings. The problem is this: We liberals are personally stingy. Liberals show tremendous compassion in pushing for generous government spending to help the neediest people at home and abroad. Yet when it comes to individual contributions to charitable causes, liberals are cheapskates. Arthur Brooks, the author of a book on donors to charity, Who Really Cares, cites data that households headed by conservatives give 30 percent more to charity than households headed by liberals. A study by Google found an even greater disproportion: average annual contributions reported by conservatives were almost double those of liberals. Other research has reached similar conclusions. The generosity index from the Catalogue for Philanthropy typically finds that red states are the most likely to give to nonprofits, while Northeastern states are least likely to do so. As he points out later in the article, much of this comes from the fact that conservatives are more religious, so religion is the primary motivator, and this is shown in the fact that religious liberals also tend to give more than other liberals. So what is needed is a way to
take care of the poor, improve health care etcstimulate the poor to get unpoor while not killing the incentives to create wealth, as well as invention and generosity by the wealthy and paying down the deficit. If you'd refrain from the snark and sneer I'm all ears for any really reasonable propositions for correcting all the problems I just listed above. Reasonable includes recognizing that people are people, including the rich, and it would improve your chances of getting your solution recognized if you treated them kindly.

Seems to me you've raised more problems than you answered.
So how would you create more jobs that pay better? Do you understand why they don't pay well enough? How does the economy worsen when wealth is in the hands of the few? And what do you mean by "few?" And how would you rectify this in a way that didn't discourage people from growing wealth? As I understand it supply and demand are way out of whack in the health care arena because of government's involvement in it. But make your case for where regulated capitalism works and where it doesn't. Why do you suppose the wealthy AREN'T contributing to bringing down the deficit? Maybe because it's a bottomless pit and nothing they gave to the project would work? Any solutions to how to make it work? I also think you need to lose this idea that the rich are rich at the expense of the poor. Marx liked that one but I don't think it holds water.

Thought I did show that rightwingers give more. Did you miss it?
As for the envy, I said it was my personal assessment of the way people talk.

The wealthy aren't contributing to fixing the deficit because there's nothing in it for them. That's how people work. Exactly, that IS how people work and you simply have no solution at all if you don't give people incentive. Increasing taxes does nothing to solve the problem of motivating people and actually accomplishes the reverse, people getting out of the situation that hurts their interests, going to other countries, anything. THIS is the problem you have to solve.
My solution is taxation. Of course, that's always the solution from the left. See above. Edited by Faith, : No reason given. Edited by Faith, : No reason given.

Sorry, I'm sticking to my definition. If we get services for our taxes it's not socialism.

Posted this on the Rapture thread but it also belongs here because it's about a conspiracy to destroy western Christian civilization by immigration. The last part is about Muslim slavery.
Radio show by Chris Pinto on the planned destruction of western civilization, meaning really Christianity, through immigration. Another sign of the end times. Edited by Faith, : No reason given. Edited by Faith, : No reason given.

The papacy murdered 50 million Bible believing Christians during the Inquisition.

Catholics are still murdering Protestants in Latin America. I think I even posted something on that. But the point of increasing our Catholic population is to give the papacy power and you can easily discover that Catholic churches are a big support for illegal immigration, sanctuary cities and all that violation of our laws. And the Pope himself of course has no interest in protecting American sovereignty, he's said it's unkind of us to object to illegal immigration..

There were major doctrinal changes when it came to who is and isn't going to hell. Jews, Protestants, Eastern Orthodox weren't hell bound, right? (post Vatican II) I heard that it was because the old school Catholicism was really unpopular, and THE Roman Catholic Church was in danger of a collapse in membership numbers. How can you trust a "church" that changes its doctrine to suit popular opinion? Especially one that says its papal decretals are "infallible?" The qualifications for Hell, as it were, are pretty clearly spelled out in God's word, so that people can be warned and saved from it. God determines these things, not the man-made doctrines of this utterly inconsistent "church." Luther condemned them for sending their members to Hell by denying them the true doctrines of salvation. With Vatican II they went from one wrongness to another, one form of depriving their people of salvation to another. However, Vatican II was also supposed to lull us all into the false idea that they've given up their Inquisitional ambitions. But they haven't. If they had, if they've given us all a reprieve, they'd have denounced and rescinded the Council of Trent's curses against the Protestant doctrines of salvation by grace, and they'd have closed the Office of the Inquisition. I feel for the poor ordinary Catholics who are the pawns in this gambit to recover the domination the papacy lost at the Protestant Reformation. Edited by Faith, : No reason given. Please point to evidence that a current Inquisition is killing people. Well, there's no public Inquisition going on, too unpopular these days, but I'd suspect versions of it are going on out of sight. I posted this on an earlier thread: When Garibaldi conquered Rome in 1848, long after the Inquisition had supposedly stopped, he found dungeons for torture of "heretics" in the Vatican still being used: Reference: "So you think the Roman inquisition ended? " And I posted this letter at my blog a few years ago:
Brother Humberto Gomez just called me. His Indian preachers from the mountains of Hidalgo have again been imprisoned by the Indian Catholic Church. They are hanging up their bodies in torturous fashion, like the Inquisition, and threaten to switch to hanging by their necks until dead unless they sign a document recanting their nonCatholic Biblical faith. The government rarely intervenes in cases like this, Brother Humberto said. It's on the news already in Mexico but though they've been imprisoned and tortured no help has arrivdes. Please pray for for help to arrive quickly. Please pray for these men of God to be rescued." [Then there is a note added by Brother Humberto:] " Please keep praying. they just pulled out all the brethren to the meeting place, all the Christian evangelicals have been beaten and they had the main pastor, Celestino Cruz Hernandez, hanging by his arms and are threatening to hang him by the neck if he continues to refuse to recant his faith. All the Catholics have the area surrounded so the rest will not escape and that the authorities will not come near. The ladies and the children are very scared and they are not allowed to leave the village, and the Catholic leaders do not intervene." Then there was the story of a nun who escaped a life of starvation and abuse in a convent, including imprisonment in a dungeon, who publicly gave her story and then just up and disappeared. A quick google hasn't located it but I'll look it up again later. Edited by Faith, : No reason given.

This has been discussed before. Here's a brief summary of the evidence with links:
