Fortunately using your method of interpreting the Bible we know that this, like all the rest of the Sermon on the Mount, applied only to the people who were actually present at that sermon and can be ignored by actual Christians. Well, what in particular would you object to?"Manipulations of human beings" in attempts intended to make them better would include all sorts of things, from teaching them trigonometry to making them say the Pledge of Allegiance to indoctrinating them from a young age in Christianity. Where would you wish to draw the line?
