Re: What LNA Believes (about religions). I believe we should have a chance to "know God"
There are prison ministries all over the country that have converted many who were already in prison. Are you taking those into account? And how do you know how many Christians there are anyway? Is it what they checked off on a form? Meaning a lot of them are probably "Christian" just because they were born in America (or Canada) and otherwise have no clue about the religion?

Re: What LNA Believes (about religions). I believe we should have a chance to "know God"
It's the ones who put importance on the messenger who are making up their own message.
The jury is still out. You claim that my messenger was a murderer who would torture you and that you will trust your beloved socialists.(the people in the streets) whereas I maintain that we will see anarchy and civil disorder and that your beloved socialists will be rioting and looting with the rest of the masses as confusion reigns...and at that point, society will long for the messenger. You may claim that I am negative about human capabilities and I will agree that I may be too pessimistic. I feel that we need God whereas you don't. So we disagree and continue to debate our finer points.

He is right that there are many Christians in prisons, but many of them became Christians after ending up there.

No it isn't. It's well-documented right on this forum that your crowd is making up the message - an ad hoc message and an inconsistent message.

Re: What LNA Believes (about religions). I believe we should have a chance to "know God"
I've never really disagreed with your message...I've just added that the messenger is an integral part of it. You disagree and think that the people are beholden to each other. I believe that this is not enough. You insist that it is all that we have, since you see no evidence that a messenger exists or is anything more than an envelope (or Matthew 25) so we continue to disagree. Glad we can discuss these things, though. The peanut gallery has already gone through 5 full bags and wants more.

But you know he isn't. In real life you would never make such a silly claim.

So are you basically accusing me of lying to myself and others by insisting that the messenger is alive and important? That I really deep down agree with you that there is no evidence of a messenger? If so, you are wrong. If I am lying I am unaware of it. Dont stir up cognitive dissonance when there need not be any.

Yes.
Phat writes:

No. It has nothing to do with evidence of a messenger. I said that in real life you know that the messenger is not important. You don't keep the envellopes and throw out the letters. You don't consult the mailman about what's in the letters. You know that would be silly.
Phat writes:

When we lie to ourselves, we usually are unaware of it. How else could we get away with it. But when somebody else points out to us that the lie is a lie, there's little excuse for clinging to the lie.

You were talking about God's changing hearts, giving as an example of unchanged hearts all the "Christians" in prison. He changes the hearts of true believers in Christ, ringo, not people who know nothing of any of that but just thinki they are Christians because of where they were born. That's pretty obvious, so stop with the nonsense.

Yet again, look at the evidence. It is socialism that has given us roads, fire departments, police departments, medicare, medicaid, social security, unions ...

And you were claiming that the ones whose hearts were clearly not changed were not true Christians, were you not? Whereas the logical conclusion is that there's something wrong with the notion of God changing hearts.

If so, why did you choose to become an Eisenhower Republican? Is there something about socialism that you disagree with?

Good GRIEF you've got it twisted! God changes BELIEVERS' hearts. What else could that mean? This is absurd. That's what being a Christian means! God has changed your heart. If he hasn't then you are not a Christian.
