They set you up to offend by giving your opinion and then they denounce you or sue you for it. Like gays setting up a bakery to deny them a cake for a gay wedding and then suing them for refusing it. That's the tactic. It is not a simple matter of avoiding offense at all.
Tell me the one about the three bears.
I've never had an experience remotely like that. You seem to be describing the experience of people who DO set out to offend.

And our geese will blot out the sun.

But that isn't what you said earlier, in Message 2 and Message 17 where you said RR was "forcing his beliefs down people's throats" and "assaulting" them with his beliefs. Pretty offensive it seems to me, not merely embarrassing.
It was Rat that said that people were offended by him telling them of his 'beautiful experience'.
I'm not actually offended by anything people say to me, so maybe I'm not a good example.

You are being offensive, and on purpose too.
I'm being right. If that offends you, feel free to go tell "the PC police" how offended you feel.

I made my point. I asked to have my mind changed. Not a single person has countered my point or attempted to ratioanlly change my mind. Instead I just get called a fucking asshole. Good thing my idea works, otherwise I would be offended, lmao.

Still missing the point.
Well here is further proof of what I am saying. When I said "share it with everyone" all I meant was God's Love. I never said I was going around trying to convince people to believe in Jesus so they can go to heaven. It's people's own short comings that allow them to be offended. Giving Love should never offend, but it does. There even thise that try to do things for the "greater good" in 3rd wolrd countries and find themselves offending people.
You will never be able to be non-offensive, change my mind.

You think you are being right. There is no objective evidence that you are. That's the main problem with being PC. It's subjective to everyone's subjectiveness.
I don't need the PC police. I have a much healthier way of dealing with it. Since you are the one with the problem, not me, I am free.

What do you want your mind changing about? You personal experience does not seem to have anything to do with personal correctness.

Dunno about that. I find it easy to not offend people. I’ve learnt that if I get on a subject that people will be offended by they give little tells in their manner and expression.
That makes me think: I better drop this.
I don’t find it quite that simple. I tend to try and avoid controversial topics that make people uncomfortable in real life; but it’s not like a typical conversation is just me pontificating. I don’t get to dictate the topic. The issue usually comes when someone embarks on a racist rant they expect me to agree with. Especially where there is resistance to changing the subject I’m left with disagreeing, which usually seems to cause offence, or with a kind of passive acceptance which makes me uncomfortable.

Respectful Offense
riVeRraT writes:
Teaching people how not to be offended is a much better path for us, change my mind.
Eh.
"Offended" and "PC" are just terms that have replaced the basic notion of dealing with other people for centuries (millenia?) - respecting others.
Having said that, and having gone through years of trying to be non-offensive I have decided that being PC or non-offensive is mentally impossible.
Heh... arguments like this always make me chuckle.
Respecting other people is not a simple one-liner than can be applied to all people and all situations.
Different people, and different situations, deserve different levels of respect.
We all make the decisions we want about how much we should be respecting others.
If you want to respect another person - you should make attempts to learn what they might find offensive and try to avoid such things.
If you don't want to respect another person - who cares? No need to be politically correct.
Of course, if you go around never respecting anyone you communicate with - don't be surprised if the people you communicate with think you're an asshole.
It's quite arrogant and off-putting to run around talking about what you want to talk about all the time without ever respecting anyone else's time or priorities.
I think that all people are equal, and on that level - all people deserve a certain level of respect.
All people deserve a certain level of my attempts to "not offend them." Whether it's me being PC or being polite or shutting my mouth.
Certain people deserve higher levels.
Others deserve less.
We all make our decisions and we should all continue to do so - if we want to live in a respectful society.
I think we would be better well served as a society to teach people how "not to be offended"
I think we would be better well served as a society to teach people how to be respectful.
I agree that there are certain topcis that when someone gets offended - who cares? They don't deserve such respect on such a topic - so screw being PC for them. Such things perhaps need to be discussed and brought-to-light.
Of course, there are also certain topics that many people think they should be able to talk about all the time when they're just making a fool of themselves.
Such people would do much better off just being quiet instead of confirming how much of an asshole they are to others.
And, of course, the question of the day is:
Which topics are which?
The thing is - it's different for everyone.
We all get to figure out who we want to spend time trying to figure such things out for - who we want to be respectful towards.
Some people can be respectful to too many.
Some people can be respectful to more people than others and it's not much effort for them - empathy comes naturally and easily.
Some people can hardly be respectful of anyone - and such people are rightly labelled as "assholes" by most others.
We all decide how respectful we will attempt to be to other people.
And all other people get to decide how much of "an asshole" resides in each of us.
I don't have a problem with the system.
It's been the same system for centuries - just under different names.
I think the "present day situation" of the system hasn't changed at all from any previous time, and works just fine.

Countering Offense with Defense
Just a note to you,Tangle--I personally have never offended you and I will say that you rarely offend me, though occasionally your argument that its all made up is a bit strong. I notice, however, that you seem barely able to conceal astonishment and outrage over the posts of ICANT. Why does he annoy you so much? Should you not expect a conservative Baptist Pastor from a small town raised his whole life around religion to be somewhat different from the crowd we have here at EVC?

Well that's true but like I say, you couldn't. It's not personal, I'm just not easily offended and certainly not by someone I don't actually know typing on the internet.
and I will say that you rarely offend me
Damn, must try harder!
however, that you seem barely able to conceal astonishment and outrage over the posts of ICANT.
Yeh, that's true, he winds me up because he's a patronising self-opinionated arsehole that's doing damage in the world and you're sucking up to him.
Why does he annoy you so much? Should you not expect a conservative Baptist Pastor from a small town raised his whole life around religion to be somewhat different from the crowd we have here at EVC?
Different is fine, being wrong and dishonest requires a response.
He thinks he knows science better than scientists but as far as I can find out - because he refuses to answer these questions - he has no qualifications whatsoever in the subject he's pontificating about. He's a small town carpenter that I bet left school early - if he went at all.
It's not like is it's a nice soft science that anyone can understand, he's talking crap about things that can only be understood with very advanced maths and by a very few people' He's a charlatan with primitive beliefs. He says he's writing a book - that will impress no-one except himself and the few supplicants that attend his church so he can mislead them by telling them that science confirms his superstitions.
Should I go on?

No.
Respect for others needed no new form, certainly not the tyrannical oppressive form of PC. And that is what it is. It comes out of Cultural Marxism's Victim Politics or Identity Politics, and it is a tool for destroying personal freedoms, controlling people Soviet style -- just as the Russian comedian says in the video clip in the OP -- enforcing conformity.

Quite often someone is called "non-PC" specifically because of their callus insensitivity to the human condition.
It's "callous."
And you're wrong, of course, just the usual false rationalization.

Is this in another part of the world? I'm not huge on world news, I'm mostly in North America.
Or are you saying this is happening in North America? I haven't seen it. Not in the news or in life.
If you'd like to look at specifics, perhaps you can provide an example we can discuss?

It is astonishing to me how all of us on the Right experience this a hundred times a day but those on the Left don't know it exists. This political/philosophical chasm is beyond anything that could be illustrated with an example or two.
