Basically, they preach that the human brain has a rational mind and an animal brain, known in their parlance as "The Beast".
I'd divide Rational into Good Rational and Bad Rational. Bad Rational says there "must" be something beyond the natural and it stretches the rational beyond its limits to try to prove it. Good Rational is skeptical of Bad Rational.

Re: Becomning less or more religious?
One question I always have when I see results like this is whether it really implies that the country will become less religious every five years or that each age group become more religious as they age (or some combination of the two).
At the library where I hang out, there's a large group of students from a local Muslim school that comes in every week. What strikes me is that though most of them are non- white and the girls wear hijabs, they're just like any other Canadians of the same age group. I expect that many of the parents are concerned about how quickly their children have absorbed Canadian culture, and are probably losing their traditional culture.

And our geese will blot out the sun.

And of course your totally made up opinion is far more trustworthy than two thousand years of believers' views.
I'll point out again, since you keep forgetting, that for at least half of that two thousand years the prevailing view was Catholic. We know how you love to be inclusive when it suits you.

Those outside the RCC sent out missionaries to teach the truth and they did eventually change the views of the people, who were ready for the Reformation when it came.
But the Reformation came from inside the Catholic Church: Calvin, Knox, Luther, Tyndale, Wycliffe, Zwingli, etc. were all Catholic priests, weren't they?

The Hiding Dissidents recognized the work the Reformers were doing and the Reformers recognized the Dissidents as precursors of their work.
So name those hiding dissidents. And explain why they are not the prominent names in the Reformation.

What does inside or out matter?
What matters is that you claimed the reforms came from outside the Church and, as far as I can tell, that is false.

Yes, read what I wrote.
I did read what you wrote. Now you're going from "they did eventually change the views of the people" to "they had a role in changing people's minds". So, if they only had "a" role, who had the other role(s)?

And our geese will blot out the sun.

What she means, I think is that the reformers were outside of the Catholic Church yet were themselves still aware of the content of the scriptures.
I named some of the reformers who definitely were INSIDE of the Catholic Church and they definitely DID know the Bible. Luther translated the Bible into German, for fuck's sake. The dissenters that Faith mentioned may or may not have had an effect on the Reformers.

One can be an outsider and still have some scriptural knowledge after all. Witness: Ringo
I'm not an outsider. I'm the one who accepts the message, remember?
