I'll miss him, he could always crack me up. At least there's a lot of his stuff on You Tube.

I liked him in McHale's Navy, but even more with Don Knots in Apple Dumpling Gang.

No worries he must have a few more lives to go.

Re: I.M.Pei and Murray Gell-Man
I had never heard of him, but upon googling, found that he made some great stuff in his life. He impacted the world in a positive way---what more can we expect from our lives?
quote:
Among physicists, Dr. Gell-Mann could easily be placed on the timeline of the centuries-old effort to find the fundamental laws that governed the behavior of the everyday world and the universe around us.
He was a pioneer in the development of what is called the “standard model” of particle physics, a guide to the fundamental behavior of the constituents of the universe.
The Nobel Prize was awarded to Dr. Gell-Mann 50 years ago, when he was barely 40, suggesting the early recognition of the significance of his contribution to science.

Reflections On Death: May 2019
As I was editing this post(1.61803 beat me to the 9 lives comment) I began to reflect on why we (here at EvC) post obituaries of notable people in the first place.
There are many whom we overlook. Here are several *we* overlooked in May:
Eric Talmadge
Eric Talmadge, who as North Korea bureau chief for The Associated Press tenaciously chronicled life and politics in one of the world's least-understood nations, died last week after having a heart attack while running. He was 57.
Imagine having a heart attack while running to stay in shape! But he accomplished a lot with his life.
Gunther Cunningham
Longtime NFL coach Gunther Cunningham, who emigrated from postwar Germany as a child and then dedicated his life to football, died May 11, 2019, after a brief illness. Cunningham, shown in an October 2000 photo, was 72.
They go on and on. The ones whom we know we post about.
When our own Buzsaw passed, we collectively mourned for someone we knew only through the internet.
The same with our beloved Queen Asgara.
It caused me to reflect this morning. Faith and I are involved in apologetic discussions defending God, eternal life, and infinite eternal purpose, but the fact remains that we too will die someday. And what will our obituary say?
~Reflections.
Edited by Thugpreacha, : broadened scope of reflection this morning
