It's getting pretty nippy here - just above freezing, but no snow yet. The 'first snow of the year' is now predicted for the weekend, but that's about the sixth time I've heard that since November, so we'll wait and see.
Once it arrives I'll be sick of it in a week. Snow apparently looks much nicer in northwest Wisconsin than it does in the middle of a city.

Re: 18" more snow
As far as I can tell he seems to have done some deal with Central Europe to borrow our winter, since we didn't have one at all. It's forecast to get up to about 55 fahrenheit this week, and we had about a millimetre of snow all winter.
My only concern is what he's going to give us in return.

Re: snow in May
We're also having crap weather for May here on the other side of the ocean. It's meant to snow here in the mountains this weekend. We haven't seen snow in the city since February, I think, but it's unseasonably chilly.

Interesting. Trust your doggie.
My dog tends to bark only at small children, and women smoking. Not sure what to make of that.

Strange we walk on the same planet as Shakespeare and I've heard he lived in a world that was 10 degrees cooler than our world.
That sounds extreme. I'm guessing you mean fahrenheit, but that would be about 6 degrees celsius. The worse case scenarios for global warming over the next century are only 3-4 degrees over 20th century averages.
The below graph is from Wikipedia, and shows estimates from different studies. The most extreme estimate would be about 1.5 degrees warmer than Shakespeare's day.
