Re: Progressive Creation
So your "evolution of the gaps" was just trolli.
Those gaps keep shrinking.

Re: Progressive Creation
Those particular gaps may or may not be shrinking. Others are. Not explaining everything is not in itself a reason for discarding a theory.
OTOH a fantasy like your aliens, which answers every question with "aliens did it" is identical to the creationist "God did it". It explains nothing.

Re: Progressive Creation
Er, that's not how it works. The act of posting is making a claim of relevance for which you are responsible for (and obviously incapable of) supporting. .
YECs have a habit of not "allowing" any logical deductions from their messages, acknowledging only strict literal readings. Seems to be a consequence of their inabilities.

Creationists need a guru. Darwin is that. They can't conceive of anyone believing anything without one.

Re: does a species from one genus evolve into a species from another genus ... yes
Unexplained is not necessarily unexplainable.

Re: Restating the question
Different measurement methods yield slightly different results.
The similarly is well over 90%.

Re: Restating the question
So you neglected to mention the whole point.
So what? What evidence do you have that the rest of the genome would make any difference? Do you know the difference between the tested part and the untested part?

He thinks he's a special kind of loud mouth asshole.
He should have seen talk.origins in the 90's. Karl Crawford, Ted Holden, Zoe Althrop...
He's a dilettante. Those trolls were dedicated to their craft for years.

Re: aliens-did-it is not a scientific theory
Aliens could choose to replicate a phylogenetic signal. Easy-peasy
There's an answer to every question, and yet there's no answers.

. Tell AZPaul3 - he was the one who “informed” me that synapsids evolved from amniotes (#1149).
Both are true.
Duh.

I think you are ascribing that comment to the wrong person. But I would love an explanation of what is wrong with my comment.
