That article doesn't really show people promoting open borders does it? Now lets see if you can find anyone of substance promoting open borders.
Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts "God did it" is not an argument. It is an excuse for intellectual laziness. If your viewpoint has merits and facts to back it up why would you have to lie?

You obviously have no idea what the sanctuary city movement is all about. Please show a sanctuary city advocate calling for open borders.

No, they do not. You are wrong. Can you meet my challenge? Show a sanctuary city advocate calling for open borders? Show anyone significant calling for open borders? Anyone?

I suppose you're right. It seems logical, doesn't it, that people who oppose immigration rules in one area might turn around and say they should work in another?

Nevertheless, they do seem a bit lax in their attitudes towards the lines on the map, no?
No. Got any evidence to the contrary?

Sarah Bellum writes: Nevertheless, they do seem a bit lax in their attitudes towards the lines on the map, no? Cultures tend to ignore lines on maps. They also recognize that this is a nation of immigrants, and there are far worse crimes than trying to attain the American Dream. Open borders won't work in modern times, but it is worth remembering that we had open borders for the majority of US history.

Culture can be good and culture can be bad. Just read the news about the Middle East sometime.

Sanctuary cities do not oppose immigration law. Here's a short primer.
Got any evidence of anybody advocating open borders?

Or Alabama.
All of which has nothing to do with our national borders. Got any evidence of anyone advocating open borders?

Open borders won't work in modern times, but it is worth remembering that we had open borders for the majority of US history. I find it interesting that every call for restricting immigration in US history seems to have come with a very unhealthy dose of racism. Whether it was Germans in the 1840s, Chinese in the 1880s, Italians and Slavs in the 1920s, Mexicans in the 1980s, or Middle Easterners in the 2000s, calls for restricting immigration always came with fears about American culture becoming polluted by foreign traditions, not to mention the hysteria that foreigners will be bringinging diseases and crime. I suppose there are good, solid reasons to be opposed to open borders, but I really don't feel like sticking my hands into all that racist muck to search for them. Not before I get a tetanus shot, anyway. If this was a witch hunt, it found a lot of witches. -- David Cole, writing about the Mueller investigation.
