Re: No obligation to let others use your body.
I already answered part of this post. It gives me a stomachache to see that anyone would trash the American founders as you and others do. You are courting complete anarchy and the destruction of the nation.
This time I wanted to answer the following:
The morality has shifted from your medieval religious tripe to the reality of the human condition in our modern global society. And in the balance the choice of the woman wins, not the dictates of your church.
As I pointed out, my religious beliefs haven't been part of my argument here, just what I thought was the rational position against killing an innocent person.
However, there is a historical point to be made, of which you are obviously completely ignorant. Abortion, or really, infanticide, leaving a newborn out exposed to the elements to die a painful death, was a common practice in all the pagan cultures Christianity eventually supplanted in the West. The Enlightened view was brought by the Church, not the other way around. It was Christians who rescued the babies put out to die, also rescued elderly and sick people neglected and abandoned to death, started orphanages and hospitals and took people in where necessary.
So what you are advocating is really a return to Pre-Christian paganism, while it was Christianity that civilized the West.
I'm sure you'll just be happy to embrace the return to paganism of course. Civilization doesn't appeal to those on the Izquierdo/ or other side of the Right when it comes down to it.

Burned women at the stake? What ARE you talking about? For abortion? What ARE you talking about?
I'm not a Roman Catholic. THEY murdered lots of people for rejecting their false version of Christianity, including millions of true Christians, which is MY group.

Re: No obligation to let others use your body.
They provided means for changing whatever doesn't keep pace with changing times you know, and their insights were timeless, built on centuries of trial and error. We still admire wisdom from the Greeks and Romans going back millennia, so don't give me this nonsense about the founders. Despite pretenses to great changes, there really is "nothing new under the sun" and we need to recognize that. You and the other "progressives" here are courting anarchy and chaos and the complete breakdown of society.

As I said, they provided MEANS for changing the Constitution, llberals don't just get to change it as they please, we all get a say in it.
And no, they did NOT make it from scratch, it was the product of centuries of political experience in Europe.

There is no process underway for amending the Constitution. Stop saying dumb things.
Democracy is NOT what the Founders established, but a Republic, and breaking away from England didn't stop them from incorporating the best of English institutions.
Again, stop saying dumb things.

Re: Partial birth abortion is not an accurate term
Yeah I'm lazy. Doesn't matter what I say about anything, what evidence I do present, it gets trashed here anyway.
Another lazy observation: Looks llke the term has become official no matter where it originated. Is there an alternative term for it you find more acceptable?
The description of the "procedure" seems well described by that term.

It's a fully formed baby. Could you watch such an abortion? A stake through the brain of a fully formed baby?

Video of partial birth abortion of a fully formed baby
Sorry, anecdotes ARE evidence. Ron Paul witnessed it. Lamark posted on that months ago.
The baby is usually killed before complete delivery, not left to die.
However, here is a video of the actual procedure. The baby is certainly fully formed. I would mention that the fetus/baby is fully formed and fully recognizable as a human baby months before its birth, just smaller at earlier stages. Babies can survive if delivered much earlier than the usual 39 weeks.
The baby in the following video, however, is fully grown. The abortion demonstration begins about 1:00 on the counter:
Looks llke they are using a doll. Oh well. I'll keep looking.

Re: Video of partial birth abortion of a fully formed baby
Nothing would suffice as evidence for you anyway. First you want evidence that such a procedure even exists. I gave what I could find. Now you are apparently accepting that it exists but you want to know why it was performed because to your mind there are reasonable explanations. I don't know if there are such explanations in all cases and don't know how to find out. You'd probably do a better job of that.

Re: Video of partial birth abortion of a fully formed baby
Governor of Virginia comments on a bill proposing to legalize abortions up to the moment of birth.
Moment of birth.
CNS News.com:
In an interview on WTOP’s “Ask the Governor” on Wednesday, Virginia Governor Ralph Northam, a Democrat, explained how a post-birth abortion would proceed.
NBC Washington’s Julie Carey asked Northam whether he supported a bill proposed by Virginia Delegate Kathy Tran (D), which would allow abortions--up to the moment of birth.
In response, Northam said that a baby born alive could be “kept comfortable” and then “resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired” - the implication being that the baby could be left to die if the family decided they did not want to keep their child.

Oh gosh of course you must be right, that I am INCAPABLE of discussing them. Actually there's nothing to say. That's your view, you require me to produce something you'll accept, if I can't I can't. Sorry I don't remember what rationalizations for Northan you came up with.
