Re: Ocasio Cortez' duplicity
Huh. The Democrats have had a majority in the House for six months.
For two years, the Republicans have had majorities in both houses of Congress, and the Republican president has been pursuing policies with the stated goals of increasing detentions.
You'd've thought the Republicans would have been prepared and would've already had the money appropriated and on the way of expanding proper facilities.
Either nationalists were wrong in thinking that draconian policies would dramatically reduce illegal entry and the left was right (once again),
or this infliction of pain was a deliberate policy goal, showing once again the nationalists are unfit to govern a nation that at least claims to be civilized.

It says something about the qualities of our current president that the best argument anyone has made in his defense is that he didn’t know what he was talking about. -- Paul Krugman

Re: Ocasio Cortez' duplicity
She voted against the bill because it had no Democratic input and left out important checks on the administration's cruelty. But you wouldn't understand such a principled gesture.
Did you notice that the DHS Inspector General agreed with her about the conditions?
These Pictures Show The "Dangerous" Overcrowding At Border Patrol Facilities
quote:
The Department of Homeland Security's Office of Inspector General on Tuesday released its final report on overcrowding at several border facilities in the Rio Grande Valley ” nearly a week after BuzzFeed News reported on a draft version ” revealing shocking photographs of people crammed into small detention spaces.
Inspectors detailed how, when they visited several the facilities earlier this month, they found adults and minors with no access to showers. Many adults were only fed bologna sandwiches, and detainees were seen banging on cell windows ” pressing notes to the windows that detailed their time in custody.
Inspectors described the conditions as "dangerous" and "prolonged." Some adults were held in standing-room-only conditions for a week. There was little access to hot showers or hot food for families and children in some facilities

quote:
{Acting DHS Secretary} McAleenan had attempted to downplay conditions at the administration’s detention camps after shocking reports on the conditions ” even as he knew his own department’s Inspector General had prepared a report confirming the news story.
“I mean, the Homeland security secretary has been proven wrong now by his own agency. Right?” Maddow wondered.
“He went to Congress and said these allegations about bad conditions in his facilities, these were just unsubstantiated allegations that were creating a sensation. That was a handful of days ago,” she explained.
Now his own agency has published these photos and this urgent management alert calling exactly the same alarm. Right? Saying exactly the same thing which he was dismissing as unsubstantiated just days ago,” she continued.
Standing room only in a cell:

Caused mostly by the administration's zero humanity policy.

Anglagard's wonderfully fair and peaceable reaching out to evangelicals
Answer to anglagard's Message 125"
Faith writes:
Certainly. Nations must be ruled by Law. Jesus came to fulfill the Law on behalf of those who believe in Him. He teaches forgiveness of sinners, He addresses individuals for salvation.
Nations have to be governed by Law, to keep the peace by restraining crime, and Law is found in the Old Testament.
You have broken the conditions of my non-interference with all this blatant hypocrisy..
What hypocrisy? Everything I said I believe to be biblical and have no idea what you are talking about.
So what do Evangelicals stand for?
Apparently they support Trump and therefore support the Prince of Lies.
He has plenty of lamentable personality traits, as do most of us, but none of them reaches to that level, and his virtues as a President outweigh them.
They support theft through the worship of billionaires despite what Jesus said about camels and needles.
Now that is an outright lye. He's stolen nothing, that's a lye from the socialist anticapitalist mindset which understands absolutely nothing about the creation of wealth and bludgeons perfectly innocent poeople with its lyes. And nobody "worships" him, we simply like his political policies and, really, may be even more on his side because of the unjustified attacks on him.
Prosperity Gospel is a pyramid scheme.
I thlnk of it as simple theft and fraud myself.
They support adultery, forcible rape, and child molestation as evidenced by support for Trump and his buddies, 22 accusations and counting.
Yeah, mere allegations and rumors are enough for you guys, who have no concern whatever for truth, and don't mind lylng about his supporters who only heard this stuff recently. So it's just more fake news, unproven allegations so recent there is no reason to take them seriously. Funny how Clinton got a pass on his actual attacks on women that he ended up losing his law license and having to pay fines over. Trump's political enemies keep dreaming up accusations against him but so far it's nothing BUT accusations none of it has been prosecuted, but lyes are good enough for the Izquierdo.
They usurp the prerogative of God by declaring themselves saved.
Well, if you don't understand Christian theology llet me explain it: the scripture, the apostle John to be exact, tells us to be assured of our salvation and gives us the basis for knowing we are saved. So the Bible being God's word, it is God Himself who wants us to know we are saved. He's exercised his prerogative in saving us already, and now tells us to recognize it.
They ignore the beatitudes, the parable of the sheep and goats, and pretty much everything Jesus ever said that does not include declaring themselves saved.
Nobody ignores any of that, but usually salvation is the topic that needs to be brought up on a public message board. And those teachings do not apply to governments, they apply to individuals.
They support the murder of immigrant children as a precursor of Operation Reinhardt.
You will be held accountable for your lyes. And most of the policies at the border were practiced under Obama, and Trump merely inherited them. the deaths of children are sad but they arrived slck and the border personnel are overworked, though I doubt any of it is their fault. The media just never bothered to report on these problems when their Messiah was in the White House.
You worship a false god.
Yes, it does seem that our political opponents have a particular love of projecting their own sins on the Right.
Don't worry, the Democratic Socialists are here to feed the poor, heal the sick, and comfort the afflicted, as is our sacred duty.
Well, delusion does seem to be the guiding principle of the Democratic Socialists, starting with that ridiculous misnomer.
Millennials can spot a phony.
I certainly hope so.

Re: Anglagard's wonderfully fair and peaceable reaching out to evangelicals
Obama never had a policy of separating families just because they crossed the border. Nor did he have a policy of incarcerating all crossers. There were rare cases of families were separated because it appeared they were not a family or the parents were incapable of caring for them.
That doesn't even approach the cruelty of Trump's across-the-board zero humanity policy.

All things that are not true that have been addressed and debunked here in the past. Classic Faith. Ignore facts when presented then come back and repeat the untruths at a later date.

Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts
"God did it" is not an argument. It is an excuse for intellectual laziness.
If your viewpoint has merits and facts to back it up why would you have to lie?

Seth Rich BS exposed.
Exclusive: The true origins of the Seth Rich conspiracy theory. A Yahoo News investigation.
quote:
In the summer of 2016, Russian intelligence agents secretly planted a fake report claiming that Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich was gunned down by a squad of assassins working for Hillary Clinton, giving rise to a notorious conspiracy theory that captivated conservative activists and was later promoted from inside President Trump’s White House, a Yahoo News investigation has found.
Russia’s foreign intelligence service, known as the SVR, first circulated a phony “bulletin” ” disguised to read as a real intelligence report ”about the alleged murder of the former DNC staffer on July 13, 2016, according to the U.S. federal prosecutor who was in charge of the Rich case. That was just three days after Rich, 27, was killed in what police believed was a botched robbery while walking home to his group house in the Bloomingdale neighborhood of Washington, D.C., about 30 blocks north of the Capitol.
The purported details in the SVR account seemed improbable on their face: that Rich, a data director in the DNC’s voter protection division, was on his way to alert the FBI to corrupt dealings by Clinton when he was slain in the early hours of a Sunday morning by the former secretary of state’s hit squad.
Did any of your sources fall for that Russian propaganda, Faith?

Gee, Hannity was all over it. Geraldo Rivera promoted it. Alex Jones pushed it. Lots of others said it added to the "Clinton body count".

It's always Obama's fault
Now it's Epstein's illegal sweetheart plea deal.

Epstein pled guilty under the deal in June 2008. Obama was elected in November 2008. Way to go Fox!

Hannity is the only one of those I listen to at all and I haven't been listening to him lately, or the other talk show guys either for some reason. Needed a break from the political wars I guess.
