So you don't believe humans descended from bacteria via a process of Darwinian evolution? If not, what do you believe is responsible for the history of life on earth?

natural processes
Okay, and one of those “natural processes” would be millions of years of creatures competing for survival against other creatures. So there is no difference between non-human animals competing for resources and humans competing for resources, since humans are just one more product of evolution.
If, for example, China invaded Saudi Arabia, killed all the inhabitants and took control of the oil fields there, according to your accepted explanation for the history of life on earth, surely that would be an example of animals competing against each other for survival? So what you call “genocide” is simply one of the “natural processes” that has shaped the history of life on earth.

Classical atheist fantasy.
No, "complexity implies intelligence" is not an idea worthy of any merit.
Spoken like a true atheist. You would sooner have your arm broken than admit design in nature.
"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man”and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things." Romans 1

No kidding? Any idea involving God looks foolish to an atheist.
God-of-the-gaps is obviously not a scientific theory, but for some odd reason, you access it according to the rules of science. That's a bad argument.

Beyond the purview? Who knows? Perhaps some day there will be a scientific explanation for such things as why there are three spatial dimensions, why mass and inertia are so closely linked, why there is an imbalance between matter and anti-matter in the universe . . .
Perhaps science will one day explain that mysterious voice that saved my life and that vision of the future I had . as well as countless other miracles that have been reported. But I don' think so. Science can only scratch the surface of reality.

Yep, that's the usual reply, so for that reason I couldn't be bothered providing the details to closed minds that deny certain aspects of reality (ie, atheists).

Science can explain a vision that describes a future event in fine detail? Are you sure? Ditto for the voice that saved my life.
You don't know what you're talking about or what you're dealing with.
When it comes to miracles, people like you are like blind, clueless children stumbling around in the dark.

Such things can happen even to atheists. My sister-in-law is a case in point - she immigrated from China and was raised by staunchly Communist parents. She ridiculed Christianity as "ridiculous nonsense". About 12 years after marrying my (agnostic) brother, completely out the blue, according to her, "Jesus started talking to me". She literally heard him talking to her! She instantly become a very devout Christian.

how do you know it didn’t
First, build a machine which performs many, complex, interdependent functions. Then, add to that machine the ability to self-replicate . if you can, so good luck with that! After you’ve completed that monumental, probably impossible task, somehow convince yourself that dumb molecules plus blind chance could have produced that machine. After that, check yourself into the nearest psychiatric hospital, because you have obviously become insane.

You, yourself, believe a highly complex intelligence can develop without being built by some intelligent agency. That is, you believe that your god exists.
If you believe that, you cannot claim it is impossible for our material universe (a thing far less intricate than your god) to develop without being built by some intelligent agency.
This is a very poor argument. We know nothing at all about the properties of God - as opposed to matter, which we can observed, measured and described by physical laws. So to try and compare the two is rather pointless, I’d say ... a bit like comparing “dark matter” to a bicycle. Furthermore, what we know of matter is that it has no life, mind, teleological properties or creative powers.
Can you name a machine (biological or non-biological) that has been observed to build itself?
