I didn't say anything about the constitutional requirement that the US census must count all persons. The topic under discussion was about the census, and you even mentioned the census in your first post to this thread: Message 3010 It wasn't very clear that you were actually moving onto a different topic. It's still not clear what you think the important issues are and why they're important. It says something about the qualities of our current president that the best argument anyone has made in his defense is that he didn’t know what he was talking about. -- Paul Krugman

Faith writes: Certainly. Nations must be ruled by Law. Jesus came to fulfill the Law on behalf of those who believe in Him. He teaches forgiveness of sinners, He addresses individuals for salvation. Nations have to be governed by Law, to keep the peace by restraining crime, and Law is found in the Old Testament. You have broken the conditions of my non-interference with all this blatant hypocrisy.. So what do Evangelicals stand for? Apparently they support Trump and therefore support the Prince of Lies. They support theft through the worship of billionaires despite what Jesus said about camels and needles. Prosperity Gospel is a pyramid scheme. They support adultery, forcible rape, and child molestation as evidenced by support for Trump and his buddies, 22 accusations and counting. They usurp the prerogative of God by declaring themselves saved. They ignore the beatitudes, the parable of the sheep and goats, and pretty much everything Jesus ever said that does not include declaring themselves saved. They support the murder of immigrant children as a precursor of Operation Reinhardt. You worship a false god. Don't worry, the Democratic Socialists are here to feed the poor, heal the sick, and comfort the afflicted, as is our sacred duty. Bye, bye evangelicals. Millennials can spot a phony. My first post was a quote from the Census Bureau FAQ, not a discussion of the Constitutional requirements.

We realize that those were quotes from Census Bureau FAQs. The question is, what was the point of that post? Why did you post those FAQ's? No one can discern the point you were trying to make.
Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts "God did it" is not an argument. It is an excuse for intellectual laziness. If your viewpoint has merits and facts to back it up why would you have to lie?

Facts about what? Those FAQs had nothing to do with ay conversation going on. They were only relevant if you were attempting to make a point, but it seems all you were trying to do was mussy the waters.

Wow!
I have no idea what that was all about. Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts "God did it" is not an argument. It is an excuse for intellectual laziness. If your viewpoint has merits and facts to back it up why would you have to lie?

Don't worry, the Democratic Socialists are here to feed the poor, heal the sick, and comfort the afflicted, as is our sacred duty. Uh, actually that would be the Social Democrats. Democratic Socialists are an entirely different beast based on a very different economic and social model. It is very easy to get the names switched. It is very unfortunate that our social democrats have gotten the names wrong. Here is a YouTube video that explains these terms (in case the Wikipedia links above get ignored as some of our members insist on doing): The Difference Between Socialism, Communism, and Marxism Explained by a Marxist by azureScapegoat.
I remember a few months or so ago Percy was asking about what all this meant, so this video may help him with that. So then, we should call a Social Democrat a Social Democrat, not something somewhat opposite. Edited by Admin, : Fix YouTube code, don't know why it was failing.

Tweet embedding is a lot harder than YouTube embedding (for the implementer), I checked some time back. But I have time today, let me look at this again. --Percy

It is very unfortunate that our social democrats have gotten the names wrong. It seems to me that the best working example of Social Democracy is the Mondragon Corporation:

From The Guardian:
Republicans silent as Trump renews racist attack on congresswomen A few Republicans have come out to criticize Trump's remarks that the Democratic progressive women of color should "go back to where they came from."
Justin Amash, the Michigan congressman who has left the party in protest of the Trump presidency, called the tweets “racist and disgusting”. Amash’s parents are Palestinian and Syrian. Mia Love, who lost her seat in Utah last year and is African American, told CNN: “It has to stop. I always feel like I’m not part of the ”America First’ that he goes out and he talks about all the time.” Commentators from the Never Trump wing of the party were swift to condemn the president. Charlie Sykes, an editor at the Bulwark website, wrote: “There was a time when GOPers like Paul Ryan, Lindsey Graham, Nikki Haley, Jeff Flake, even Reince [Priebus] would have denounced this kind of racism. Who will speak out now? Will any elected Republican push back?” But most who hold elected offices and those who have some political clout remain silent.
Such senior party figures, among them Utah senator Mitt Romney, a frequent critic of the president, were silent. Some, such as Graham, instead devoted media appearances to defending Trump over images from the southern border of migrant men held in cages amid what one reporter called “sweltering” heat and “horrific” stench.’ Republicans: it's more important to defend holding human beings in filthy, standing room only cages than it is to defend fellow Americans from racist slurs. It says something about the qualities of our current president that the best argument anyone has made in his defense is that he didn’t know what he was talking about. -- Paul Krugman
