Fortunately I never said any of that.
By the way you might inform anglagard that I'm forbidden to post on the Trump Byashing thread.

Read more carefully. I said there aren't any YECs who agree with the *specifics* of your views, like that many species in the wild can breed with each other, or that sediments turn to rock by drying, or that breeders create new species, or that the Grand Canyon Supergroup tilted while still buried without affecting the layers above, etc.
Fortunately I never said any of that.
Oh, posh, of course you have, all of it. I'm particularly amazed that you have the chutzpah to deny ever making those claims about rocks forming by drying and about Supergroup tilting, given the huge number of times you've made those claims.
By the way you might inform anglagard that I'm forbidden to post on the Trump Byashing thread.
You mean The Trump Presidency thread? You're the one who blew your privileges over there, tell him yourself in a PM.

The Flood MUST show a hole in EVERY target or it never happened.
Remember Faith, you must be able to explain how the flood created millions of alternating layers with a coarser material over a lighter material.
But wait, there's more...
You must be able to provide the process, procedure, model, method or mechanism to explain EVERY observation found in reality.
If you cannot provide a flood process, procedure, model, method or mechanism to explain EVERY observation found in reality then the flood never happened.
Remember just one example that cannot be explained by the flood process, procedure, model, method or mechanism is all that is needed to totally refute the claim that either of the Biblical floods every happened.

Well, I did not know that. Don't like putting you in a position where you can't defend your false religion.
Perhaps you can start your own thread to defend the Prince of Lies and the Great Deceiver.

Re: Oceanic crust
10 feet per day for the movement of tectonic plates seems to be averaging known movement over 6000 years. This is about 10,000 times current rates. It would mean about 10,000 quakes greater than about Richter 7 per year, 100,000 of 6-7, millions of noticeable ones. At no time in Earth's known history has that been observed, so to reach your average it has to be speeded further at some time. Even saying it occurred in the 100 years after the Flood, the rate would be about 500,000 times current rates. The Middle East is a tectonically active place, so Noah would not have been able to stand up to plant his vineyard, and the Tower of Babel would not rise above its first layer of brick.
Any sort of speeding up plate tectonics presents enormous problems for the Flood myth, (like almost all Geology does!)

Abswrdity is sort of an intuitive thing but I'll have to work on this later.

Re: Oceanic crust
The average as I recall was closer to 11 feet per day, and it was 4300 years instead of 6000 years. And it makes a difference to thlnk in terms of gradual decrease in speed from twenty feet per day down the present speed.
Earthquake hhot spots don't stay in the same place. There would have been a lot of volcanic activity around the Atlantic when continental drift first started so there would have been a great number of earthquakes there, which are now dead according to Google maps of a few years ago. Now they are more active around the Pacific rim. Just because the Middle East is an earthquake hhot spot now doesn't mean it was in Noah's time.

Your arrogance is pretty insulting. You call people blind just because they don’t agree with your ridiculous opinions. You can’t accept that they are just being rational.

But it's OK if I feel insulted, blasted, hayted, demeaned and psychologically murdered. Why? Because I'm *wrong* and thlnk you are wrong
It isn’t OK, but it’s your problem. You don’t get anything worse than you dish out. You post ridiculous nonsense and expect it to be accepted as fact. Just on your say-so. So of course people disagree and ask you for evidence point out problems with your views and even mention that what you are saying really is nonsense. If you find that insulting that is really your problem.

No I don't expect my speculations to be "accepted as fact," I would like them to be considered as interesting ways of looking at a problem. And I'd rather not be raked over the coals for it.

Really ? You don’t expect us to believe that - for instance - geological formations are usually composed of only one sort of sediment ? If you are trying to use speculation as evidence you are making a very bad mistake.

The idea that the Flood somehow sorted the fossil record is not “an interesting way of looking at a problem”. To be interesting you would at least need to show that it is a reasonable possibility. And you don’t even try. Saying that the Flood is so humongously big it could do literally anything isn’t even sensible.

And I'd rather not be raked over the coals for it
You’ll call people blind for not seeing “absurdities” that are largely your invention, but you object to being called out when you propose genuine absurdities ? Spare us the hypocritical pretence of being the victim here.

Well, maybe if I spend more time practicing watching my mind and purging my negative feelings I'll get loving and joyful and stop irritating you and everything will be SO nice. It probably won't change my opinions that you don't like but the fact that you don't like them won't irritate ME so I can stop irritating you. I'll go back to it now.
