Tony Glover, 79 & Leon Redbone, 69
two of my folk heroes.
only Spider John is still alive of the great trio, Koerner, Ray & Glover and Leon always had a great stage solo presence.
More from Tony Glover - Wikipedia & Leon Redbone - Wikipedia
I was hoping others would beat me to this thread, but...this is a twofer.

Re: Tony Glover, 79 & Leon Redbone, 69
Always liked Redbone. Always assumed he was older. But I think that was part of his schtick and mystique

Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts
"God did it" is not an argument. It is an excuse for intellectual laziness.
If your viewpoint has merits and facts to back it up why would you have to lie?

Rip Torn - February 6, 1931 - July 9, 2019
Veteran actor from many movies and television. Probably best known for the Larry Sanders Show.
And probably the coolest name in Hollywood.

And probably the coolest name in Hollywood.
I learned from another article on him that "Rip" was a nickname all the male members of his family gave themselves.

Losing them all. The First was Charlie Byrd. Long long ago in a land far far away I used to share a coffee with Mr. Byrd between sets in DC.

Chris Kraft, 95
Was the guy that ran the NASA control room and talked to the mediots in the early US Space program in the 60's and so on. I remember his voice well. July 22nd, 2019. Did a lot of the behind the scene things to make it happen. 2 days after the 50-year anniversary....
