You know nothing of the evidence and analysis that led to the mainstream theories. I've always thoght I did, but could you list a few to be sure? Nothing elaborate, just off the top of your head. Edited by Faith, : No reason given.

18 years here and you have learned nothing.
Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts "God did it" is not an argument. It is an excuse for intellectual laziness. If your viewpoint has merits and facts to back it up why would you have to lie?

More llke eight years here, maybe nine, was not here a lot of that time.
Cheers. Of course what you mean by how I've learned nothing is that I haven't come around to your way of thlnking. Cuz I've read a lot of books and other stuff about evolution and geology. Happy happy. Edited by Faith, : No reason given.

A few can't convey any sense of the situation. A lot is too much to ask in this medium. But it's all readily available and presented better than I could.

You may have read a lot but you've made it clear you've absorbed nothing.

Do I need to have been there or might there be other ways I could determine how much time passed?

Interesting. According to your profile you joined on 10-06-2001. Did you assume someone elses profile. There are a few posts under this name in 2001 and then a lot starting in 2005. Even if we ignore 2001 there have been regular posts under this name for 15 years. Cuz I've read a lot of books and other stuff about evolution and geology.
Name some.Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts "God did it" is not an argument. It is an excuse for intellectual laziness. If your viewpoint has merits and facts to back it up why would you have to lie?

quote: That makes the whole post look like a joke.
quote: And at what point in the Flood is that plausible ? The initial Flood is supposed to have covered the mountains. And is it really plausible that “slick wet sediments” would look like desert deposits ? Or that the time between the “waves” would allow dinosaurs to mate, build nests and for the eggs to hatch?
quote: It doesn’t exactly seem likely that a Flood covering the mountains would leave many dinosaurs alive. Add in the fact that Genesis 7:21-23 seems to indicate that everything died then - and your own proposal the the pre-Flood world was completely annihilated and I’d say that that doesn’t seem plausible at all.

Or one reads with one's own mind intact, but with a strong critical perspective that sees what's wrong with certain ideas.

Yes, weigh and consider, that's what the critical mind does.
