I was specifically asking if the fossil record looks as if essentially all life was killed in the 40 days of rain and the first layer covered them up.
But obviously the fludde picked up all those remains and stored them away somewhere in individual bins for later distribution.

Dead creatures would have been washed into the water where they got sorted.
So they all got put aside in bins with neat copperplate labels of when they could be taken out and deposited? No matter how much water you throw at it, they could not be sorted in the order we see without magic. Don't forget the simultaneous sorting of radioactive isotopes and daughter products. Much much harder than merely sorting bones. (No matter how you interpret the patterns of such isotopes with depth, the pattern exists).
Those are Iran's ultra-high-speed centrifuges for separating uranium 235 from uranium 238. They had 19,000 of them, and that's what it takes to sort isotopes. How many of these installations did the fludde build?

I didn't say it couldn't be imagined, what I said is that LOCAL FLOODS don't provide a basis for imagining it.
So can it be imagined? Especially based on physics, chemistry, hydrodynamic, and geology?

The evidence is on the provided cross sections. {Message 1070}
I don't see how that disproves sedimentation in the Gulf of Mexico. Please explain.ABE I note the fourth image is of West Texas TexLibris | UT Libraries So, there's no explanation. Jus pictures.

Why don't you just try to figure out why it's not sea floor and what I mean by that?
This isn't a game show. It's your claim, you defend it.My money is on unthinking knee-jerk reaction in a vain attempt to avoid having to address the issue. Called it. Unthinking knee-jerk reaction in a vain attempt to avoid having to address the issue.

did not say that when the rain stopped that's when deposition of the sediments would begin. Quote me. Message 1072 quote:"And then" strongly implies nothing significant in between. "The strata piled on top of it would further erase any recognizable remains" doesn't sound like "picking up and filing for later". It clearly means the strata covered the remains.

Tectonic pressure happens mostly at plate boundaries.
What percentage of plate boundaries are in the ocean?

They can push up underwater mountains but if the mountain approaches the surface Jesus smacks it down?

The same forces act everywhere. Above and under the sea. Most of it under the sea,
Colliding plates often push up mountains. Everywhere. Such as the Aleutian Islands. See and understand.

The millions of times people fail to understand you are never your fault.

The Bible is the source of my thinking on this subject so it IS a scientific text on this subject. Does not follow logically. The Bible is not a scientific text and is not credible evidence for a fludde. OK, it can be your inspiration, but to convince scientists you need measurements and observations of the real world. How would such lateral pressure lift the sea floor?
Plate tectonics. Some plates are separating, some are colliding with tremendous force. When two plates collide they don't stop. The edge of one plate gets pushed down under the edge of the other, which edge is pushed up or crushed into a pile of rock(= mountain). Just as the Himalayas are growing as India rams into Asia. I assume you have some plates with raised edges? Fill a flat-bottom sink or tub with a few inches of water. Place one raised-edge plate right side up under water. Place another raised-edge plate right side up next to it. Push the plates toward each other. Is there a force between the plates? Now flip one plate over and push them towards each other. Is the right-side-up plate lifted? In the Aleutians the Pacific plate is colliding with the Bering microplate, and the Pacific plate is being "subducted" under the Bering microplate.

don't see how that is going to raise the bottom of the ocean to the level of the continents. Non-lateral movement under lateral forces is a well-known and sometimes fatal problem when supports collapse in this manner. It's called "buckling". It happens to continuous railroad tracks in excessive heat.
The Himalayas are rising at about a half inch per year, like this:
The same processes operate underwater. If the Himalayas were on the sea bed they could be islands depending on the water depth. Of course a lot of mountain building everywhere is volcanic.

And the coral formations.
And the paleosols. And the burrows and trackways. And the obvious multiple incidents of uplift and sinking and folding. And the chemistry. And the sorting of fossils. And the sorting of radioactive isotopes and daughter isotopes. ...
