Can you name any Republicans that are not hyper-partisan considering Trump's 90+% approval from Republicans?
Maybe one living and one recently dead. Justin Amash has stated publicly that Trump has committed impeachable offenses. John McCain who was certainly not hyper-partisan and stood up where it counted in significant votes.

Read the question to which I was replying. Find racist, warmongering or derogatory statements in the question to which I was replying.
Sheesh!

I do not think that the US should loose any Democratic Senator to a Presidential bid. I feel almost as strongly about Representatives. For the foreseeable future the US Congress will be more important that the Presidency.
The President proposes but it is the Congress that disposes.
Let Trump have a second term but simply continue to totally and completely ignore every really dumb thing he proposes.
Make it clear that "Yes, Trump is an idiot but he is our idiot so please be nice to him. Hang his drawings on the refrigerator and give him Super Hero stickers for his coloring book."

Without a 2/3 majority in the Senate, veto power is still a real thing.
True but a simple majority in the House and Senate is an even bigger thing.
If il Donald vetoes every single bill passed in Congress the worst that would happen is once again the US Government gets shut down but with a very clear picture of who is responsible.

jar on White Privilege
Long long ago and in a land far far away ...
is how many tales start.
But this is not all that long ago and not all that far away.
One day I arrived to work to find one of my draftsmen was late. He was a young black college student working a summer job as a draftsman doing layout for a cable television system. A call to his house got an answer.
He had gotten a bonus the week before for working o0vertime to get an addition to the system plotted early. With the money he had bought a car from a friend; not the greatest of cars but better than riding the bus.
Getting home late he was stopped by the police and since he had nothing to show he owned the car, he car was impounded and he was in jail.
My wife at the time was the legal secretary to one of the most prominent lawyers in town and I called him to see what could be done for the young man. About twenty minutes later I got a personal call from the arresting officer saying my employee would be brought straight to work and they would get the car to him by end of day. The officer then apologized to ME for "locking up my BOY".
They never apologized to him, never offered to compensate him for a night in jail, never explained why he was stopped or why they impounded his car instead of just giving him a ticket.
They did apologize to me!

Re: GOTCHA
Back when Newt demonized Hilary Clintons push for Universal Health Care he clearly stated that the issue was that the party that can implement universal health care will hold political control of the White House and both Houses of Congress for at least a half century. Of course the current crop of so called conservatives have also been too stupid to implement universal health care when they did control both houses of Congress.
More evidence of the Deplorables.

If you or other Democrats don't want open borders, then what do you want when it comes to immigration?
Since I am a Republican and not a Democrat I hope I'm still allowed to post what I'd like to see.
What existed for over 200 years, a Welcoming Border. Set up Welcoming Facilities where immigrants can be checked for infectious diseases, where they can be provided any immediate treatment needed, where they can learn basics US laws and what they can and cannot do, where they can get assistance in finding jobs or transportation to join family or friends already in the US.
If an immigrant commits a crime in the US there is already a legal system in place to deal with it; however all of the evidence so far is that immigrants are generally more law abiding than the general citizenry.

A South America Union would be an interesting proposition ... if the US could keep from poking their regime change tendencies to cripple governments ... include central America and Mexico and it could become a political powerhouse.
Not just a political powerhouse but also a major economic powerhouse with resources that dwarf most of today's economic powerhouses.

Re: The Left's Imaginary Racism
I'm not sure Trump is a racist, rather I think Trump believes his strongest possible base are the racists and fascists.

But the US is much safer today ...
... after ICE swooped in a took over 700 workers off their jobs. It seems that over 300 of the 700 have had to be released already though.
