The media is dug in full-force against Trump, presently, but was the initial obsession with Russia out of a feared peaceful existence?
Russia managed to sort-of become friends with Turkey (Turkey for God's sake!), in the last few years (though, presently, Russia & Syria are fighting with the Kurds against Turkey), so anything is possible.
It was just (less than) 4 years ago that Turkey shot a Russian plane out of the sky (it was like a month or 2 after Russia was sick and tired of the United States not fighting ISIS and allied terrorist groups, and decided to accept the invitation from the Syrian government to enter Syria).
Putin lost a fighter pilot and Russians were angry. But Putin went out of his way to chock the world and describe Russians and Turkey as "friends".
Putin got a lot of media ridicule for that one.
(I was puzzled myself at his "friends" comment)
The Kurds are no longer being slaughtered by terrorists, and the media won't tell you it was because of Russia.
Hopefully the Syrian government and Turkey can work out something so the Kurds can peacefully exist in the "Kurdistan" portion of Turkey's territory. But there are armed Kurdish fighters who want Turkey to cede a large part of its national territory for a "Kurdish" state.
A solution is much more possible now that we are HOPEFULLY leaving Syria.
Russia, Turkey, and Syria do want a sincere solution.
AND THE KURDS ARE NO LONGER BEING SLAUGHTERED BY WESTERN BACKED TERRORISTS!
