Shameless plug - What's the Frequency, Kenneth?
I did this last week at a different topic. This is a better place.
The main index page:
AudioPort.Org - Find Programs by Series&
Tomorrows episode:
AudioPort.Org - &
There is a download link there, but I'm not giving out the user ID and password.
Titled ""Heavens To Betsy And Bannon" ( Told Through Narration,Music And Soundbites)"
The blurb:
quote:
For the first time ever, it took a vote by the Vice President to break a 50-50 tie in the US Senate to approve a cabinet nominee...Betsy DeVos as Education Secretary. Why so controversial? But first...On his first speech to the US Central Command..Donald Trump opens with...what else...his election "numbers". And House democrats hold a news conference to talk about Trump rolling back protections against Wall St. abuse...and get asked about "impeachment" talk. Oh, and House Minority Leader, Nancy Pelosi, flat out calls chief Trump White House strategist, Steve Bannon, " a white supremacist". ( Told Through Narration, Music and Soundbites
I think the "not a Trump fan" types will enjoy this program. It is being broadcast and webcast on our local low power FM station at 9:00pm (US central time) on Tuesdays.
Streaming link is at the top of the page at KTWH 99.5 FM – Two Harbors Community Radio
My 2 hour program, the Ektoplazm Eargazm precedes "What's the Frequency...". It is an electronica (psy-trance) program.
For time zone correction purposes, I am posting this message at 8:10pm (US central time).

Added by edit - The bio blurb of the program producer:
quote:
Paul Fischer is a former News Director of WBAI, former News Director of KPFA and 31 year veteran of CBS News...including 24 years as writer/associate producer on the CBS Evening News with Dan Rather. I've returned to my roots in public radio as an independent producer.

Re: Shameless plug - What's the Frequency, Kenneth?
It's a bump!
Ektoplazm Eargazm starts in about 17 minutes.
What's The Frequency, Kenneth starts in about 2 hours and 17 minutes.
99.5 on the FM dial (but we're only a 100 watt station).
KTWH 99.5 FM – Two Harbors Community Radio on the internet, audio link at page top (KTWH 99.5 FM Two Harbors Community Radio should launch the audio).

Re: Shameless plug - What's the Frequency, Kenneth?
The Ektoplazm Eargazm show is usually material from the Ektoplazm.com site, with full fidelity downloads and a creative commons license. That license frees me from the common copyright restrictions, which means I can legally play entire albums.
This show is NOT my favorite style of Ektoplazm. But I do try to also air stuff that's not personal favorites.

Underway now, for the next 2 hours.
Go to KTWH 99.5 FM – Two Harbors Community Radio to get audio link (if this: KTWH 99.5 FM Two Harbors Community Radio does not work).

Stock market falls and the selling off of stock
I often hear the connection between falling stock market indexes and the stockholders selling off stock.
My question is, if there is a mass selling off of stock, who is doing the buying? I presume other stockholders.

Re: Stock market falls and the selling off of stock
Amazon was $1792.57 at the close today.
Source of below:
Berkshire Hathaway Inc. Class A stock Aug 16, 2019:
Opened $300,260.00
High----- 301,742.75
Low------ 298,687.25
Close---- 300,829.00
That difference between high and low is $3055.50. Isn't that about 1%?
My understanding is that they never pay a dividend.
