Re: Another Synagogue Shooting - In San Diego
And the bill to make carrying any loaded gun in public was introduced by a Republican, passed by a Republican majority Legislature and signed into law by Gov Ronald Reagan.

Re: Another Synagogue Shooting - In San Diego
il Donald is far too much a court fool and jester for anyone to hate. He should simply be ignored and laughed at as have all court fools.

and more recently...
... the period in the US from the end of the Eisenhower Administration through the end of the Nixon Administration when whole cities were burning, National Guard Troops were firing on students, police were protecting KKK groups that were burning black churches and killing both black and white students and setting dogs on peaceful demonstrators. When a Big City mayor authorized fire bombing a row house because the occupants refused to surrender to the police and republican Governors made carrying any loaded gun illegal to make sure that Black Citizens could not protect themselves from sanctioned police violence.

South and Central Americans
I understand Faith thinks the Mexicans and Hondurans and El Salvadorians and Guatemalans and Costa Ricans and Nicaraguans and Venezuelans and Colombians are all Secret Muslim Infiltrators bent on imposing Sharia Law. But it seems they are mostly Christians looking for a better life in the US. Edited by jar, : fix sub-title Edited by jar, : appalin spallin

Re: South and Central Americans
Faith writes: Sigh. Of course, splitting hairs is always the scientific thing to do. The point is that Roman Catholicism is simply not a threat to the American Way of Life.

Re: South and Central Americans
Faith writes: This is not particularly obvious because wherever Catholicism is not the whole society but part of a larger Protestant context it has a more Protestant character, but in fully Catholic countries, from what I've read about these things, they are as alien as you can get from our ways of thinking. That all depends on what you mean by "our way of thinking". Again, the reality is that throughout Latin America Roman Catholicism has been on the decline for decades while other religions and secularism have been on the rise.

Re: South and Central Americans
Faith writes: Our way of thinking means our constitutional system, capitalism, freedom of religion and all the other freedoms and so on. Yet every nation in South & Central American has a constitutional system, capitalism and freedom of religion.
