I think JM was pointing out that things aren`t half this and half that but all of something else if you follow...IOW Neanderthals weren`t half ape and half human they were instead all neanderthal (and happened to be a lot closer to humans than apes).....

On another note seeing as how humans are really smart apes how can something be part ape and part human surely that would make them half ape and half ape, or IOW 100% ape......
