Lapsed Unitarian?
Probably not the best topic for this thought, but I'd be hard-pressed to find the proper one in short time.
I left Christianity over a half century ago (circa age 12) because I started reading the Bible with the idea that that was what I needed to believe, only to find that I simply could not believe it. Two-and-a-half decades later my family (id est, my own personal family including my wife and our two sons) got involved with a local Unitarian-Universalist church (it's a long story with sordid depictions of flagrant religious discrimination). That was around 1992. Around 2000, I stopped going (one or both of my sons may have joined me). And through and after the divorce et al. I've not been back.
Does that make me a Lapsed Unitarian?

No. There is no resemblance between a Unitarian-Universalist church and a Unitarian church. After the merger in 1961 the Universalist philosophy swallowed the Unitarians whole and there is almost nothing left. Some Unitarian churches have managed to remain independent, but they're hard to find.
I was raised Unitarian.

Re: Lapsed Unitarian?
A friend of mine told me that his parents were very faithful about bringing the family to church every Sunday.
Until they found out that the lift tickets at the nearby ski resort were half price on Sundays. Then the family was very faithful about skiing every Sunday.

the wall of sham ...
via facegook
Humpty Dumpty said he had world class climbers check the wall and that they said they couldn't climb it.
Mexicans have made a game of it, and it appears the record time is 45 seconds to get to the top.
The Mexicans are going to pay for it, their going to play for it.

That's not Trump's "wall", which has pointy tops on the slats.

Re: the wall of sham ...
of course it is.
That's not Trump's "wall", which has pointy tops on the slats.
Which doesn't make it unclimbable.
Where there's a will there's a way
This still mocks the idea that a wall will work.

Re: the wall of sham ...
I've heard rumors that people have even climbed buildings and mountains. There was even an ape, (not our orangeutan, some other ape), that climbed the Empire State Building while carrying a pretty girl.

The eagerness you all show to violate our laws and flood the country with illegals is astonishing. Eagerness and joy in criminal activity and destruction of the nation. Really amazing.
