Te vast extent of Donald Trump’s corruption, extortion, and abuse of power among his numerous other crimes often makes it difficult to keep track of all of the offenses for which he can rightfully be impeached.
Luckily, one Twitter denizen, Andrew Wortman, went to the trouble of making a well-researched thread that compiles 100 of those offenses into
one handy thread for your reference in case you run into any clueless supporter of the president who questions the legitimacy of the House Democrats impeachment inquiry.
Here we present the first 50 items on his meticulously annotated list and strongly urge you to visit his Twitter feed to view the rest of the reasons he’s compiled.

#8.) Trump is committing daily violations of the emoluments clause of the Constitution; as he refused to divest from his businesses and continues to profit from them and accept money and gifts from foreign governments

#10.) Trump’s administration has been committing crimes against humanity by separating families and incarcerating children in concentration camps

#13.) Trump tried repeatedly to fulfill his campaign promise to "Lock Up Hillary Clinton. He pressured Sessions to prosecute Clinton THREE TIMES. This is a surreal abuse of executive authority in trying to target a rival.
#14.) Trump fired McGahn’s law firm in retaliation for him testifying. The statute states that causing harm to an individual in retaliation for testimony is a criminal offense carrying a prison sentence of up to 10 years.
#15.) After Mueller definitively established that Russia attacked our election in 2016, every Democratic presidential campaign promised not to use hacked materials. Trump’s re-election campaign refuses to make this pledge.
#16.) Trump announced that he will categorically ignore ALL SUBPOENAS issued by Congress for witnesses or documents. He won’t evaluate them. He’ll IGNORE THEM ALL. That is Contempt of Congress and it was the 3rd Article of Impeachment against Nixon.
#17.) John Thune: Lying to the American people is a betrayal of trust. The pattern of deception & dishonesty acts as a bodyguard to this president strikes at the very core of his ability to lead. Trump has told 9500+ lies.
#18.) Trump has sparked a surge of white supremacist terrorism with his hateful rhetoric that glorifies Nazis and demonizes immigrants, Muslims, blacks, Jews, gays & every other marginalized group. He does this DELIBERATELY.
#19.) Trump has made sure federal agencies led by his appointees don’t have internal ethics oversight by leaving ethics leadership roles empty. This is how his entire Cabinet is able to rack up endless scandals with impunity.
#20.) Trump has been mentally unfit for office since Day 1. A new report by psychiatrists shows how the Mueller Report establishes new details into his utter inability to process risks or act in the interests of the nation.
#21.) While Trump abuses his authority to declare fake national emergencies, his officials at Homeland Security are disbanding programs that are vital to our security and combat actual rising threats, like domestic terrorism.
#22.) Trump installed Bill Barr as AG solely to protect him from the findings of the Mueller Investigation. Barr has now committed perjury as well as obstruction and may have even shut down the investigation prematurely.
#23.) Trump & Giuliani are corruptly pushing AG Barr to weaponize the DOJ against the Biden family over matters in Ukraine. This is another surreal abuse of executive power that is inexplicably being assisted by the media.
#24.) Trump initiated a call with Putin, in which he spoke to him for an hour and a half, and not only didn’t bring up his attack on our election, but discussed details of the investigation including whether or not McGahn would be allowed to testify.
#25.) Trump wants toughness at the border and has been musing about US soldiers and agents getting rough with migrants. This is tyrannical, unconstitutional, and violates the human rights of people legally seeking asylum.
#26.) Trump isn’t just doing nothing to secure our elections; he’s actively discouraging the @FBI and other agencies from protecting us from Russian attacks in 2020 by threatening investigation into THEM. This is treason.
#27.) Trump and his admin brazenly refuse to faithfully execute the laws as required in Article 2, section 3 of the Constitution. This can be seen from every cabinet member who works against the very purpose of their agency.
#28.) Trump’s Treasury Secretary has refused to comply with Congressional requests to turn over Trump’s tax returns saying there is no legislative purpose for doing so. The law is clear. They shall be produced. Mnuchin is violating the law
#29.) Trump and White House officials have violated the Presidential Records Act by intentionally failing to create & preserve records related to meetings with Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong-Un & other foreign government officials
#30.) Trump has been quietly revoking Press passes for reporters; barring access to the WH Press pool for media members who have been reporting on the WH for years or even decades. This is a blatant 1st Amendment violation.
#31.) Trump is sending his personal attorney, @RudyGiuliani to Ukraine to get its government to help Trump’s reelection by digging up dirt/propaganda on @JoeBiden’s family. This is another blatant violation of electoral law.
#32.) The day after the release of the Mueller report, Trump asked McGahn say that he didn’t believe his push to dismiss the special counsel constituted a crime. This is obstruction of justice and FELONY WITNESS TAMPERING.
#33.) Trump is pressuring the Supreme Court to bar lower courts from issuing nationwide injunctionseven if the administration's policies violate the law. This is unconstitutional & violates the independence of the judiciary.
#34.) Trump and Stephen Miller wanted to stage highly public mass arrests of undocumented immigrants and their children in 10 American cities. This is obscene and unconstitutional.
#35.) Trump is actively trying to draw us into a war w/ Iran via a yearlong campaign of sanctions, withdrawing from the Iran Deal & other measures of aggression. This is pathologically reckless & endangers countless lives.
#36.) Trump continues his unconstitutional abuse of the pardon power by handing them out to political cronies & far right reactionaries who have curried favor with him. His most recent pardon of Conrad Black is no exception.
#37.) Trump isn’t just ignoring the Emoluments Clause by not divesting from his businesses, he’s actively using the Presidency to promote his own properties/business; and charging taxpayers for his excursions there while he does so.
#38.) Mike Flynn, Trump’s former National Security Advisor, told investigators that people linked to the Trump administration and Congress reached out to him in an effort to interfere in the Russia probe. This is obstruction.
#39.) In addition to his administration committing war crimes by killing more civilians than any other, Trump is now pardoning war criminals in his most recent abuse of the pardon power & sickening betrayal of American values
#40.) Trump told McGahn to ignore House subpoena for him to testify. McGahn is a private citizen, executive privilege was waived, and there is no legal argument to keep him from testifying. This is simply more obstruction.
41.) In a tantrum, Trump claimed he will not work with Congress on ANY LEGISLATION until they stop investigating him. He is effectively saying I won’t do my job unless you don’t do yours. This is extortion AND obstruction.
#42.) The Trump Administration is denying homeless transgender individuals access to community shelters. These are vital services for people who are more prone to housing and vocational discrimination than any other group
#43.) Trump has authorized Bill Barr to declassify any intelligence materials related to the 2016 presidential campaign. In addition to national security risks, this is egregious obstruction and abuse of executive authority.
#44.) Trump has urged the head of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to award a border wall contract to a construction firm run by a GOP donor. Steering federal contracts to political supporters is against the law.
#45.) Trump is usurping Congress and invoking emergency powers to sell $8 Billion of arms to Saudi Arabia, the nation primarily responsible for 9/11 and which he kept off his Muslim Ban because of his own business interests.
#46.) Trump betrayed his oath of office again by tweeting praise for the dangerous actions of North Korea’s Kim Jong-Unthe dictator of one of our most dangerous geopolitical adversaries who has murdered American citizenswhile attacking Joe Biden.
