NO, the bulk of the deficit is due to all the entitlements promised to all of us over the last few decades that are protected by law. In other words there is no way to reduce the deficit because these entitlements cannot be reduced. The best that could be done is add nothing to them, but of course every President adds something to them, and even if it's a small amount by most standards it raises the total scarily. As it should. But we can't get rid of those entitlements. So it's all going to go on galloping toward bankruptcy, and it's not Trump's fault though you want so very much for it to be.

Well, I got the economics from a well known right wing pundit, and it's not that I don't know what geology and genetics say, I make use of most of it accurately enough, I just put it to different uses.
