I've proposed some sort of variation of this before. As I see it, the membership should only have the "Like" selection available.

I would put the "Dislike" choice into the hands of the various admins, where the dislike is based on the forum guidelines.

I agree with this. The thumbs down rating has become a place where some people are just continuing their personal attacks. As Artemis Ent freely admits.

I think at times providing information that shows a person is in error is very appropriate. I am simply showing that your simplistic idea of the term "socialized medicine" is incorrect. Do you want me to put in 2 paragraphs of bullshit so that your and AdminPD's sensibilities are not offended?

I like the change. It gives people an idea of what the link is as opposed to a url that is truncated and meaningless. I rarely use url= because of laziness. This way most links will get a description.
