Well to us providing accurate information rather than rigt-wing propaganda IS a reason to trust them. Your opinion is the reverse, but that’s the topsy-turvy world you choose to inhabit.

In general, we "trust" what can be tested against reality. We don't automatically swallow what we hear just because it's what we want to hear. We do test the Washington Post, etc. against reality.You, on the other hand, only hear what you want to hear. You don't test what you hear against reality. That's why you can deny, for example, what Trump actually says on video and claim he never said it. You don't even care if the test against reality fails.

I have no interest in defending any particular view of this but I do have a problem with fake news masquerading as legitimate journalism which the Washington Post is known for, and especially "revelations" that have a political intent during this ongoing witchhunt againt Trump. Yes timing is the issue, plus the fake news nature of the Washington Post.Edited by Faith, : No reason given.

I know, you don’t consider publishing facts you want suppressed as legitimate journalism. And you are angry that people dare to tell the truth about Trump. That’s pretty much what I said.

Look at it this way. Just like il Donaldo, here is another good reason for the rest of the world to laugh at America.Never have so many nations had so much in common as today when nations from North Korea, China & Russia to England France, German and Canada been able to agree that the US and our Duce are a joke.

You all hope it's a joke, but Trump has done more for the country in his first two years in office than anyone else for decades. Obama did nothing but destroy the economy and destroy our reputation in the world. Trump is building the economy, to a level that hasn't been seen in fifty years, and although the fake news never covers his accomplishments he's also representing us well to other nations.

Which is why all the Prime Ministers laugh at il Donaldo.

"Fake news" doesn't mean false, it just means RWNJs don't like it. Tho Post is usually trustworthy.

No, fake news means false, or distorted, but usually false.
Like, as Marc9000 reported back a ways, all the news reports describing Trump as being "furious" or some such when he was perfectly calm. Obama saved the economy from the Bush catastrophe and left Trump a healthy and growing economy.Trump has managed to continue at roughly the same pace. That's GDP growth 1990-2018. 2019 numbers are about the same as 2018. The big negative is the beginning of the Obama administration.Note how Clinton did way better than Trump,and Trump is doing about the same as Obama but a little worse.The stock market is pretty good. Unemployment is very low. Job creation is less than under Obama.. Farmers are going bankrupt in record numbers. None of the alleged benefits of Trump's tax cut happened, all of the detriments did. The deficit and debt have exploded. GDP growth is nowhere near what Trump promised and compares poorly to GDP growth under Obama.

I just want to know how that article is good "timing."Thank you.

And Percy pointed out why Marc was wrong about "furious".I stand by my definition of fake news, seeing that you can't come up with any actual examples.

It's a little embarrassing.I missed the fact that Percy had linked to essentially the same story I did. I thought his message was not based on that story. So posting that message at the same time the story was published wasn't really good timing, alt I thought it was.As usual the Post published real true news.
