To ringo:
My favorite skeptic and counter apologist from Canada. May you have a New Year full of revelation and re-examination of the faith you left. May you realize that though original sin is a marketed concept, it does have validity in that evidence-based thinking cannot solve all of our problems.
To Percy:
Thanks so much for maintaining this forum despite its limited membership. I hope that you have a happy New Year---Weather Nation (on TV) said that you guys are getting some snow! Thanks so much for your diligence in addressing the ongoing national problem of gun control. Also for keeping us up to date on our President and how big a hole he is digging. I'm in no hurry to get him out only because Pence would be worse (though more predictable).
To Stile-
I always enjoy communicating with you. Your basic point that we can be good people with or without religion, God, or Jesus carries weight due to your good-hearted approach. I think that even though you *know* that God doesn't exist, he is well aware of you! Hope that you find lots of hope, fun, peace, and challenge for the New Year.
To tangle: Happy New Year. May you catch big fish and may the fish we catch provide a sporting challenge to our attempts at catching them.
to Theodoric: My favorite grouch!
Thanks for keeping me honest and challenging my world views. Happy New Year and may we both learn something new this year.
To xongsmith: Thnks for being here. We never interact much, but I note your favorable responses to some of my ideological opponents. The fact that you say so little shows me that you are either too busy or that you are a wise person who listens frequently and speaks sparingly.
To dwise1: Happy new Year and thanks for your perspective. I like most of your replys except when you drink and hollar at Faith. Not that she doent push buttons, however.
To Mike (The Wizard) Thanks for lurking. I was never aware of our past until I actually re read some of your posts which I must have overlooked. Keep praying and seeking the Wisdom of Christ (rather than the Wizdom of irrefutable Mike)
and I hope to see you online for 2020 with even better posts than in the past.
So many names I recognize amongst our lurkers.
PaulK-You always challenge my preassumptions! Thanks for being gracious while doing it.
To AZPaul3: My favorite atheist!
Keep being you. Keep being real. Maybe you and Faith can hook up and really make a gossipy story.
And to Faith:
You are a dedicated blogger, an honest person who wears their feelings on their sleeve, and an example of a stubborn believer whom I respect. I have noticed you becoming more honest about your own faults, and I respect that. Yes, we will likely see you type in all caps, ignore our posts when they conflict with your beliefs, and defend the creationist flood model the best that you can manage. happy New Year and may God give you genuine wisdom in 2020.
If I left anyone out, please feel free to comment in this New Years' thread and add some members whom you personally interact with. let's keep this EvC Family on speaking terms.
Chance as a real force is a myth. It has no basis in reality and no place in scientific inquiry. For science and philosophy to continue to advance in knowledge, chance must be demythologized once and for all. ~RC Sproul

We, humans, are engaged in an ongoing war of ideologies. I see it in this microcosm of EvC Forum just as I see it in the governments and attitudes of people throughout the world. Take your pick: Oppression or Seduction .
