Neal Peart
Badass drummer for Rush.
Pretty much the most badass rock drummer ever.
Cool dude on top of that as well.
Sucks.
Edited by anglagard, : Probably help if I spelled his last name right.

Re: Neal Peart
I was surprised how many people reacted to my post on Facebook about his passing. I have been a fan since at least their second album in 1975. All of the members of Rush are interesting people. They are the type of rock star all should aspire to.

Re: Terry Jones, RIP
He was a very naughty boy !
Fabulously so. Monty Python didn't always hit the mark, but when it did, it was wonderful. A lot of people think about Always Look on the Bright Side of Life at a time of death, but I do quite like to think of their Universe Song (aka the Galaxy Song) instead:

Could there be any greater conceit, than for someone to believe that the universe has to be simple enough for them to be able to understand it ?

Re: Kobe Bryant
You always seem to insist on displaying the skeletons in everyone's closet. We all have skeletons. Our legacy is made from the good we have done and not the mistakes we have made.
Kobes premature death was impactful to me because his precious little daughter also died. 200 million dollars cant save anyone when their day of reckoning comes due. When anyone passes, not everyone uniformly loves them nor mourns their passing. Why focus on that, however? RIP Kobe.

Re: Kobe Bryant
Rape is more than just a skeleton. At least in my eyes. To me anal rape is more than a mistake.
Again you throw out your patented strawman arguments. I never said his death was not tragic or his daughters death was not tragic or impactful.
I simply pointed out that there are people who will not participate in the unseemly adoration of an admitted rapist.
I am sorry he, his daughter and the others are dead, but I do not think he was a great human being that should be revered. He should have spent the last 17 years in prison and if he were not a famous basketball player he would have.
