Josh McDowell and Rvi? The whole can of nuts.
But still there is absolutely nothing in support of the guy in any of that. No one denies that he is one of the Medicine Men. Edited by jar, : wrong key

Phat writes: I can't avoid the evidence, even if it discredits Christianity. But it does not discredit Christianity, it discredits the conmen and hucksters that prey (and pray) on the gullibility and unfortunate lack of being taught how to think that is the defining characteristic of the CCoI. It is simply yet more evidence that in general the Apologists are simply taking advantage of much of today's Christians. Edited by jar, : fix sub-title

SHEEESH Phat.
Did you even read that crap? I mean that is simply hilarious that ANYONE could read shuch utter crap without laughing. There is absolutely nothing there but selling the BIG con, no value, no meaning, no charge, no morality, nothing but CON!

Phat writes: The value is having Christ accept you. Another totally content-less bumper sticker. Phat why do you keep posting silly stuff like that?
Phat writes: The morality should also stem from Him to us, but Baughman claims that this isnt happening. No Phat, the morality can only be within you. But again, there is no evidence that Christians are more moral than any other segment of any population and lots of evidence that the so called Christian leaders and Apologists are far less moral than the average citizen.

Yeah, all of that is just Bill Bright, the guy that pushed the Campus Crusade generation. It was simply bullshit then and is simply bullshit still.

Phat writes: Secular people are tougher on people who lie or harm others, never again giving them an opportunity to repent or be redeemed. Not so Phat, but there are steps involved in the act of Confession; first is acknowledging but that is also just the beginning; you must also apologize to those harmed, commit to not making the same error AND also making amends. Ravi and the rest of the Apologists will continue to be known by their fruits and so far there is no evidence that they are marketing some new improved snake oil.

Phat writes: I suppose you could say that I am listening to more and more people in order to decide for myself what a consensus might involve and whether God would be part of that communion or whether it would be profitable to be a secular humanist? And there it is yet again Phat! The question should not be what is the profitable thing to do rather what is the RIGHT thing to do. Fight the GOOD fight. Run the race. And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Phat writes: OK, I will ask you the same question I asked ringo. Would you sell all that you had to feed the poor? Why or why not? Do you feel that you do enough? Do you ruin the race with every bit of strength left in your old bones? I try. I usually fail but still I try. And if you actually read what I posted you will see that it says And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. We have been over this before Phat. The charge is to do what is right. Not because there is some profit but because it is the right thing to do.

If you can't obey Pansy Hunks ..., well, let's just say obeying Pansy Hunks beats all the alternatives.

Phat writes: but what if the bill wiped out whats left of the surplus nest egg that the American Middle class has earned over the last 80 years? Trashing the resources of one group of people who indirectly benefitted from yet did not initiate the privileges would be fixing some inequities yet creating others! If you really think that we sons and daughters of the greatest generation that fought World War II are gonna become reparative kum ba yah socialist because someone says its the right thing to do you must have more faith in how we end up faring than we do. Yawn. YAWN! Phat, the bill will get paid, that is simply a fact. If you wish to pay the bill through pain and suffering, then that's fine. But the bill will get paid. There is absolutely no way around that fact.

Phat writes: Who is gonna collect it? What if we turn our bank money into gold and refuse to pay out a dime? Then you will definitely pay in pain. But you will pay the bill.

Phat writes: Arnt we really already paying the bill? Yup. And by choice as well. We decide to suffer. Phat, the information is out there; it is readily available. There are studies on the relative quality of life by nationality. There are studies on the relative quality of health care by nationality. There are studies on the relative cost of health care by nationality. There are studies on the relative quality of education by nationality. There are studies of life expectancy by nationality. There are studies of wealth disparity by nationality. All the info is already there. Look at the nations that rank higher than the US in those factors. What do they do differently? Should we learn what works and try to emulate those processes?

Phat writes: I just think that it's unfair that suddenly the whole rest of the world gives us the bill for virtually everything that needs fixing. But of course the whole rest of the world is not giving us the bill. The rest of the world is also paying the bill. No one on Earth will get out of paying the bill. No one. But the reality is that the US has built a reputation for always stiffing others for it's share of the bill. The US decided to defund the maintenance and upkeep and modernization of our infrastructure. No one else defunded the maintenance and upkeep and modernization of our infrastructure; we decided to do that. The US decided that education and health care should be profit centers. It was solely our choice, the rest of the world did not make us do that. The bill we are responsible for is the bill we chose to create, either actively or through willful ignorance. But that bill too will get paid.

Phat writes: These other countries are becoming wealthier...let them help pay for global warming and infrastructure in global common areas. The other nations ARE paying; it is the US who opted out and said it would not pay its share.
Phat writes: The United States is tired of being the sucker who pays the check for the whole table. But the reality is that the US has never paid the check for anybody.

Phat writes: Are you kidding me? We pay the lions share of military protection for countries such as Kuwait. We pay 25% of the UN budget. Our military umbrella shielded former enemies Japan and Germany for years, allowing them to rebuild economies that rivaled ours. Basics Phat. We did those things for profit and only for profit. We did it to keep our assets viable and to create markets for our products and for no other reasons.
