Modesty/misogyny - easy mistake for them to make. Could there be any greater conceit, than for someone to believe that the universe has to be simple enough for them to be able to understand it ?

Re: More Antivaxxers
He did have the decency to preface it with the warning "Fellow Patriots" (translation: "What I am about to do is spout unadulterated bollocks") Could there be any greater conceit, than for someone to believe that the universe has to be simple enough for them to be able to understand it ?

Re: the new Don Quixote attacking windmills ...
I suspect people will have figured this already, but Mr Newth's letter is taken from Viz, an anarchic comic book here in the UK, which features a couple of pages of comedy letters like this one, sent in by the readership. Here's Mr Newth's twitter feed about it: https://mobile.twitter.com/adriannewth It's still funny though :-) Could there be any greater conceit, than for someone to believe that the universe has to be simple enough for them to be able to understand it ?

Re: the new Don Quixote attacking windmills ...
The letter section of Viz, btw, is known as "Letterbocks". Viz aficionados see the "bocks" part of it less as a homonym and more as an abbreviation... I wonder who he'll obsess about now. A psychologist would suggest, some guy at the gym. Could there be any greater conceit, than for someone to believe that the universe has to be simple enough for them to be able to understand it ?

I'm pretty safe - most Web cams don't have a wide enough angle lens for my bod ;-) Could there be any greater conceit, than for someone to believe that the universe has to be simple enough for them to be able to understand it ?

Re: Gay Knees?
It’s the way life is now, sadly. Ignorance has become legitimised and expert opinion is trashed on a daily basis. With any luck, their mother’s pain and suffering was not the price they ended up paying, to continue to wallow in their self-delusion. Not holding out much hope though. Could there be any greater conceit, than for someone to believe that the universe has to be simple enough for them to be able to understand it ?

In the circumstances, the letters D, r, a and Z seem superfluous... Could there be any greater conceit, than for someone to believe that the universe has to be simple enough for them to be able to understand it ?
