I think the most important issue in this election is to take control of both houses of Congress. The President is really almost immaterial. The great harm is the erosion of the Judicial System and the erosion of environmental, economic and educational resources and it is Congress that has the greatest control in those areas.
Keep the Senators in Congress and work to add five more. There are thirty-five Senate seats that will be challenged in the coming election and that is where the greatest effort could best be spent.

Even though it was US "agin" Communism in the Cold War. It is simply the fact that so many Americans today have never learned that words actually have meanings.

I hereby solicit ideas on attracting non-Republican non-geezers to show up and give voting a shot.
Unfortunately the best idea I know of is to persuade more women, Latinos and younger candidates to run for offices. And now is the time to start recruiting for the next cycle; too late for this one.
That does assume that there will be a next cycle and I'm not totally convinced that will happen.

Re: One Definition
A couple decades ago I wrote an article on the effects of ubiquitous access to the internet on future employment. It included remote workers and remote diagnostics and remote maintenance and lots of stuff we are currently seeing come online. As bandwidth and wireless access continue to expand industry will adapt increasingly towards decentralized production. I see a high probability of factories that have a staff of perhaps a few dozen employees while the actual running of the robots and machines are all done remotely with the actual operators being located all over the world.
The limited onsite staff will be there to perform those maintenance tasks not yet automated.

Re: robots
In my original estimate only the companies benefit but I also said that I expected increased instability as diverse workforce scenarios displace local labor.
A major issue is in how the workforce dispersion is handled. It could provide benefits if handled correctly; through a gradual transition and training program within a generational matrix but I estimated there was only a slight chance of that happening.

Polls are sometimes wrong.
According to all the polls Donald Trump did not win the 2016 election.
And Dewey won.

Primary Early Voting
Voted in the Texas Primary this morning. Light but constant turn out even in what goes as WINTER down here, temps in the 40s and 20MPH wind with drizzle. There was almost no waiting and the poll I went to had about a dozen machines with pretty much regular turn over; as one person finished another was led in. 44 items on this ballot and only a very few uncontested candidates. Lots of women candidates and even a few Anglos.

Texas Day 4 Primary counts
So the total Early Voting and Mail in counts so far have been posted in my county. In Texas Primaries the voter can declare which party ballot to use and each parties counts are reported right after poll close.
After four days of early voting the numbers are slightly up from 2016's first four days with Democratic ballots up by 2000 voters and Republican ballots up by 52 voters over the 2016 level. Trump has been requesting Republicans to cross party and vote in the Democratic primaries and select the weakest candidate which might explain some of the increases in Democratic Ballots cast this year.

Hidalgo county Primary voter count day 5
Just a note on the numbers. Remember that Hidalgo County is a very liberal part of Texas even though it's located right on the Rio Grande River. There is almost universal opposition to the stupid wall and strong support for making access back and forth across the border easier and quicker. This was also the home town of Lloyd Bentsen.
The numbers of early voters is up for both Republicans and Democrats over the same period in 2016. That's in spite of the weather being cold and drizzly with 20 mile an hour winds several days this year while it was pretty much 70s and sunny everyday in 2016.
Number so far for the first five days of early voting:
2016 Republican: 2,675 Democrat: 20,277
2020 Republican: 2,817 Democrat: 22,358

Hidalgo County Early Primary totals.
The final days tallies are out and the results are somewhat interesting. The Early Voting Totals between 2016 and 2020 are almost identical with only 374 more votes this year. But the party votes show a different story. Republican votes are down over 25% from the 2016 level while the Democratic voting remained almost identical with only a 6.5% increase. In fact the increase in Democratic votes this year is almost exactly the same as the decrease in Republican votes from 2016.
But what does that mean?
Maybe in 2016 a couple thousand Democrats voted Republican to reject Hilary. Or maybe this year a couple thousand Republican voted Democratic to reject Trump.
Tuesday will be the Primary and it is very likely that there will be many runoff positions before the final slate gets set.

The main Bernie base didn't go to the polls in the Primary. What evidence is there to show that the younger voters will actually vote in the election? Looking at the exit polls it looks as though less than 20% of the under 30 registered voters showed up pretty much across all states.

But how to get the young voters to actually vote?
If even 50% of them had voted the outcome would have been entirely different.
