For what it’s worth, Google searches on Corona beer virus have apparently been at noticeable levels lately. I prefer Tecate anyway, myself.
Was it George Carlin who made a comment about the intelligence of the average American, and that 50% of the population is, by definition, dumber than that?

Re: US capability to fight virus jeopardised by Trumpski
MMS is sodium chlorite (notice that t) solution. It gets used some in the oilfield as a cleaner-upper for iron sulfide scale, which can be a pretty big problem out here in West Texas. Aside from the usual safety warnings on this product, users are cautioned to not spill it on dry vegetation. Once the water in the product dries, sodium chlorite can set dry grass on fire. This is typically thought of as Bad Form right next to oil wells.
But as medicine? No problem, apparently.

Re: Advice for dealing with the virus, and a possible antiviral aid?
Just spitballing here, Faith, as I have no data one way or the other, but coconut oil is just another fat. I don’t see it being particularly effective at disrupting the fat of a Coronavirus any more than the fats already in our bodies would.
Not to say that there might not be some weird antiviral agent other than the lipid (fat) in coconut oil, but that whole thing sounds a little like ginkgo biloba cures ____ like it did twenty years ago. It seems to have lost its popularity.....

Re: Advice for dealing with the virus, and a possible antiviral aid?
Yes, that looks pretty accurate. But don’t confuse soap with fat: soap was fat, but has been chemically broken into pieces by the action of, typically, something like lye (sodium hydroxide). The original fat is not an amphiphile, so you can’t wash your hands too effectively with it - it won’t rinse off. Soap attaches to fatty materials, but being amphiphilic, it will still go into water and wash off your skin.

Re: A Question About Masks
And whatever your view on masks, shop around a bit. I really can’t believe that $65.00 is a fair price on an anti-viral mask, even if the ads on the Internet offer them for that.

Re: A Small Book about Boosting Immunity
The wisdom of Michael Savage. That’ll be a pretty damn short book.
Oh, by the way, I found a real scientific article that documents the monolaurin content of mother’s milk and its antibacterial properties. Human mommies produce much more than cow mommies do.

Re: Italy lost 475 to coronavirus Wednesday. 2978 deaths total in Italy, passing China
I read something this morning about the link between Wuhan and Northern Italy - fashion. Big Fashion is in Italy, and lots of seamstresses/clothing factories are in Wuhan, and the large Chinese population in Northern Italy has ties to home. There is (was?) a direct flight between those spots. That clarified for me a puzzling question - what was the connection?

But please don’t really mix bleach and alcohol. Way better than mixing bleach and ammonia, but still not at all good.

Hooray! Tell her not to get addicted to soap operas or The Batchelor, though.
