Gerrymandering and Voter Suppression

The governments of Italy, Japan, Germany, Tuvan, Finland, Norway and the Soviet Union all had the near complete support of the national populations base in the 1920s through 1940s.

There are a few things wrong with some of that. For example, the map shows that along the river the number of voters per polling site increased in some areas from an average of 1000 voters per sit to 7000 voters per site. That's believable but not because sites were closed. The area along the river has seen explosive population growth over the last several decades just as it has seen a major demographic age change. The Rio Grande Valley has long been one of the more liberal parts of Texas but also has seen an influx of winter Texans becoming permanent Texans.
