No, it's because the corporate elite DNC/DINO crowd is afraid that he CAN win. It's the billionaires and their minions in the party that are against him, because the real "battle" is between the rich rich and the working people.
So Jones was booted off for posting a video of himself berating someone, a CNN reporter:
He's got almost a million followers, and Infowars half a million. Isn't that the real reason they want to ban him? He's got views they don't like and too many other people do like them.
It's not a matter of dislike Faith. It's a matter of recognizing a con artist. All this shows is that
(a) American education is woefully inadequate at preparing people for reasoning, and (b) All these "followers" should turn in their membership cards to the human (Homo sapiens race.
However, although they were NOT calling someone a Communist who is not a Communist, Sanders IS a Communist and calling him a Communist would ALSO not be red baiting.
Sanders is a democratic socialist, NOT a communist:
Democratic government (by the people) Capitalist economy with socialist programs (for the people)
The US is a democratic socialist nation. The largest expenditure of the federal budget is defense, funded entirely by taxes and for the benefit of everyone.
We also have public funding of K to 12th grade. Sanders proposal to increase that to include community college, state college and trade schools is just increasing an already existing socialist system to more adequately deal with the needs of people today.
Medicare for All is also just expanding an existing system to cover more people more adequately, and it is not radical as all other developed countries have it. The government the US set up in Iraq has it. The government that the US heavily supports in Israel has it.
These programs are for the people, funded by the government and put in place democratically. That is not communism by any stretch of a fevered brain.
Well, all those who were objecting to Sanders' posi6tive remarks about Cuba didn't even call him a Communist, they merely, rightly, objected to his positive remarks about a murderous Communist regime. So your accusing them of red baiting was extremely unfair.
Oh, that very much WAS red-baiting, because Sanders did not say anything positive about the Cuban government itself. All he said was that the education system and the health system were better than they were before.

Actually Bernie is correct and historically accurate. The National Review is actually misrepresenting history (red baiting much?). Communism has never been tried on a national scale.

Let's add the republican senators to the list of those responsible for US failure to properly attack the problem -- they had their chance to remove him and have someone else in charge.

Didn't hear about that, but it is logical to show that the coronavirus was no greater threat there than elsewhere (Washington state?), and that the label "chinavirus" was misleading, leading to racist violence against chinese-americans.
You do know how dog-whistles work, yes? They operate at a frequency that normal people can't hear; in politics they are code words or wording that normal people don't notice, but a target audience understands.
Even though the earliest reported cases were in Washington State, California, and New York, Washington and California took action much earlier than New York. For that matter, I recall that San Francisco ordered a lock-down very early on. I heard of Seattle implementing measures around the same time, and the rest of California following suit.
So these actions will/should make the national curve look a little better. Actions before Trump did anything. He will take credit for it (there are two types of people, those that do things and those that take credit).
The national picture will be lumpy though, as each hot-spot goes through their peaks at different times, Detroit and Chicago for instance -- expect it to rocket up as NOLA mardi-gras celebrants start becoming statistics, same for Florida (late to close beaches - still open mid march).
Of course a lot of those people were visitors that then returned home, spreading infection as they went (two weeks spring break, not enough time for symptoms to show)
Talk about Typhoid Mary, each of those dots could be an infected person, and this doesn't count the encounters between these people and others on the way home.
I expect a similar picture from Mardi-Gras ...
So the national picture is muddier than state by state data.
