I prefer to phrase it like this: Some people repeat what they have been told by other sourses who also repeat what they heard on Fox News. Of course not. You rely entirely on evidence. Which works ok for the age of the earth and origin of species, but not for the idea that God exists and is in communion with humanity should we want it. I will concede, however, that objective evidence is lacking.

Hi and good to have you here.I think the real question is why you believe it isn't fact. I suggest that you reject it because of the particular way you understand the Bible. May I suggest that when you understand the Genesis accounts as if they have a scientific basis, then you are turning it into something never intended and as a result miss out on its actual message.The Genesis accounts are ancient mythologies that introduced a new understanding of God into the ancient world. It talks about the creator bringing about a beautiful world that teemed with life. It talks about the concept of humans attaining the knowledge of good and evil and how easy it was for humans to turn to evil. It talks about how when we choose evil it leads to the loss of our humanity. It talks about how as humans we have been given responsibility for the stewardship of our planet. When you try and read it like a divinely written science text or newspaper the real message get lost in the shuffle.As Christians we can be interested and study evolution, but we absolutely should not reject it as an issue of faith. For that matter we should give thanks for the incredible process of evolution and how God has made us co-creators. Instead of arguing against it, because of what is in my opinion a serious misuse of Scripture, we should be looking at what has been accomplished through the evolutionary process and marveling at God's handiwork.

I am a Christian and understand that ALL of the evidence supports the fact of evolution. That is not a belief but a conclusion based on the evidence.
