Re: Gosharootie, I'm surprised
what was [Roger Stone's] crime exactly?
Crimes. Many, I'm sure, since he's such a sleazy operator and "rat fucker" (technical political campaign terminology; review that scene towards the end of All The President's Men (1976)). However, rat fucking and related malfeasance can be difficult to build a prosecution on even when laws are violated (which they very frequently are). So while one's crimes can be astonishingly many, charges for which one is prosecuted tend to be few -- eg, mobster and multiple murderer Al Capone was prosecuted and convicted for income tax evasion, while Trump has violated a multitude of federal laws his impeachment focused on his crimes regarding the Ukraine (the political calculus was that volumes of evidence detailing all of Trump's crimes would only confuse the public too much).
So while Stone's crimes are undoubtedly many, he did face specific charges for which he was duly indicted and then convict. Here they are as described in Wikipedia, but they are also listed by many other sources (except by the Fake News Network, Fake Talk Radio, Fakes and Friends, and fake Christians who worship The Beast):
quote:
Charges
On January 25, 2019, in a pre-dawn raid by 29 FBI agents acting on both an arrest warrant and a search warrant at his Fort Lauderdale, Florida home, Stone was arrested on seven criminal charges of an indictment in the Mueller investigation: one count of obstruction of an official proceeding, five counts of false statements, and one count of witness tampering. The same day, a federal magistrate judge released Stone on a USD$250,000 signature bond and declared that he was not a flight risk. Stone said he would fight the charges, which he called politically motivated, and would refuse to bear false witness" against Trump. He called Robert Mueller a "rogue prosecutor". In the charging document, prosecutors alleged that after the first WikiLeaks release of hacked DNC emails in July 2016, a senior Trump campaign official was directed to contact Stone about any additional releases and determine what other damaging information WikiLeaks had regarding the Clinton campaign. Stone thereafter told the Trump campaign about potential future releases of damaging material by WikiLeaks, the indictment alleged. The indictment also alleged that Stone had discussed WikiLeaks releases with multiple senior Trump campaign officials.
On February 18, 2019, Stone posted on Instagram a photo of the federal judge overseeing his case, Amy Berman Jackson, with what resembled rifle scope crosshairs next to her head. Later that day, Stone filed an apology with the court. Jackson then imposed a full gag order on Stone, citing her belief that Stone would "pose a danger" to others without the order.
Trial and conviction
Stone's trial began on November 6, 2019. Randy Credico testified that Stone urged and threatened him to prevent him testifying to Congress.[158] Stone had testified to Congress that Credico was his WikiLeaks go-between, but prosecutors said this was a lie in order to protect Jerome Corsi. During the November 12 testimony, former Trump campaign deputy chairman Rick Gates testified that Stone told campaign associates in April 2016 of WikiLeaks' plans to release documents, far earlier than previously known. Gates also testified that Trump had spoken with Stone about the forthcoming releases. After a week-long trial and two days of deliberations, the jury convicted Stone on all counts — obstruction, making false statements, and witness tampering — on November 15, 2019. After the trial, one of the jurors emphasized that the jury did not convict Stone based on his political beliefs. On November 25, a decision denying a defense motion for acquittal was released. The judge wrote that the testimony of Steven Bannon and Rick Gates was sufficient to conclude that Stone lied to Congress.
The only political machinations is Trump having Barr try to get a convicted criminal off solely because of Stone's connections to Trump. Even though Roger Stone is clearly what Trump would call a "bad hunger" (from Trump's campaign statements that "these are bad hambres").
If you really wanted to know what Stone was charged with, then you could have looked it up for yourself with no difficulty. Remember that the Fake News Network et al. are as bad as or even worse than creationists: they lie to you all the time.

Silly monkey. I don't have a soul that needs saving and neither do you.
BTW, I'm quite the opposite of a fascist. That's what antifa means.
There is a whole other world around you. You should learn about it accurately.

Even if he's right about having a soul that needs saving, then he must realize that he has lost his by worshipping The Beast (the Orange One, not the MCU good buy who's blue). The large numbers of "Christians" losing their soul by following the Beast and the Anti-Christ was a frequent teaching in the Jesus Freak Movement circa 1970.

The anti-Christ at St. John's Church
Has nobody noticed that at Trump's photo-op at St. John's church he was holding the Holy Bible upside down and backwards? And that he carefully arranges the Bible to be displayed this way? (The front of any Bible has an embossed emblem or title designating its nature.) This is a definitive sign of the anti-Christ declaring himself to his acolytes, one of which appears to be aSoC.

Approval of Trump's coronavirus response sinks to lowest on record amid surge in cases: Reuters/Ipsos poll | Reuters
37% approve of Trump's handling of coronavirus, the lowest since March. 58% disapprove.
The Death Cult strategy may not be working; Digby lays out just how fucked we are. Even Texas governor Greg Abbott is telling people to stay home unless they need to go out. She sums up'
quote:
Trump is the ultimate chaos agent, lurching from one catastrophe to another, unable to discipline himself in even the smallest ways. That may have worked well enough for him when we were dealing with political battles and palace intrigue, all of which was important but didn’t bear directly on the everyday lives of Americans. The coronavirus crisis does and it’s brought home the fact that his narcissism and emotional incontinence makes everything worse. He is a walking disaster, and that’s the last man you want in charge during a real crisis.
It's still infinite political time until the election... but it looks as if we'll be worse off by then.

Life is good.
True words!
Welcome back, Tany. You've been missed.
Thanks! I bailed the 1st of December after realizing I couldn't find anything to read here. Everything was completely pointless postings to and from everyone with the 3 nutters, faith, marc and Mikey the diz.
I got a personal message that RAZD had taken a sudden turn for the worse so I logged in to find that he had passed. That breaks my heart, he was the best of us and I am much better for having known him!

This is a definitive sign of the anti-Christ declaring himself to his acolytes ...
So he really is the anti-christ!
Well, there's not much I can do about it now. I've pissed off god so much and actually went out of my way to blaspheme the holy spook, which is unforgivable so I hear, only about a couple thousand times.
I'm fried. Might as well have another glass of wine. Rather a nice Cabernet.

Trump undermines US medical science
Ars Technica
The US was working with Chinese researchers - in China - to investigate coronaviruses. The title of the project: Understanding the risk of bat coronavirus emergence,. With the current epidemic still ongoing this research would seem to be of considerable value.
Not to the Trump regime.
The research funding was abruptly cancelled in April this year, on orders from the White House. No reason given.
Peter Daszak, President of EcoHealth, the company organising the research commented:
Thanks to this China can now do the research, we can’t!
Which is quite likely true. The Chinese government could pick up the tab for the Chinese researchers. And if they do, can the US count on seeing the results? Doubtless some would be published in the scientific literature but the Chinese government would have access that the US government would not.

Every day it gets worse
‘Outrageous’: Trump administration waived ethics reviews for lawmakers and federal officials seeking small business loans
That's why they tried to keep the recipients secret.
quote:
The Trump administration in April quietly issued a sweeping waiver exempting members of Congress and other federal officials from ethics rules in order to allow them and their families to apply for small business coronavirus relief loans without facing conflict of interest reviews.
They never even heard of ethics.. And then...
Trump administration has refused to respond after learning Russia offered bounties for killing US troops: report
quote:
President Donald Trump has refused to authorize any response after being briefed that Russia was offering bounties for the killing of U.S. troops, according to a bombshell new report in The New York Times.[...]
Trump was offered options to respond, but has taken no action.
I don't know if it's actually treason but it does confirm that Trump is a wholly owned subsidiary of Putin.
Your guy, Dave.

Trump is not the antichrist. Trump is pro-life. Biden is a fraud. He is not catholic. Do not be deceived.

Everybody knows Dick Cheney is the Antichrist.
Trump is a manifestation of Lucifer. His pro-life stance is a lie. He's not Christian.
