jesus is elevated above superstition. Only by those that support the superstition Chuck. Those that believe something else assume their mythologies are correct and yours are wrong. Just as you do theirs.
if you saw a man walking on water, would you believe your eyes? or would you call yourself superstitious? You haven't seen a man walk on water have you? You've been told by your priest when you were a child that a man walked on water and he told you this because someone told him. And so on. Your evidence that it actually happened is in a book that was written by bronze age nomads from stories passed around a campfire in the desert. The authors are anonymous, they did not witness the alleged events themselves and they were written many decades after they were supposed to have happened. They were then edited for political reasons by a king of a foreign nation attempting to adopt a new territory. It's not terribly believable is it? But suppose you did see someone walk on water today. Would you believe what you were seeing? What evidence would you like to see before you accepted it?Je suis Charlie. Je suis Ahmed. Je suis Juif. Je suis Parisien. I am Mancunian. I am Brum. it takes more faith to accept the ToE then it does to accept Jesus Christ.
I don't really want to get into it in this thread. but when 4 jewish writers record that somebody walked on water, the historicity of that claim is risen above those who don't walk under ladders near black cats.

SoC writes: it takes more faith to accept the ToE then it does to accept Jesus Christ. Which is, of course, both wrong and irrelevant. Plus, the accepted theology of the Roman Catholic church - your church - agrees with the ToE. Are you saying that it's wrong?

the way some of the users correspond on this site, it's as if Percy designed an AI version of a skeptic and implanted a few different accounts. What's the difference between Tangle, AzPaul3, and ringo. It's like talking to the same trite skeptic, repeating the same recycled "clever" taunts to believers.
I would love to issue a controversial edict, among this cloister of EvC NPCs, that reality is Jesus Christ, and we are living in it. If Jesus Christ wasn't reality, there would be no need for skeptics to create a Christless multiverse on EvC. Years ago, Percy went as far as to doubt the historicity of Christ. But Christ is bigger than EvC and he is bigger than life itself. I walked into a church recently and at the altar above the crucifixion was . Fitting as he is the alpha and the omega. I can't convince any of you of the historicity of Christ's peerless miracles. But among all scholars, there is universal agreement that the synoptic gospels and dead sea scrolls represent a layer of historicity and authenticity that is lacking in any other major religion. Edited by a servant of Christ, : No reason given.

Among all scholars....
All scholars with whom asoC agrees, that is to say. ALL scholars, not so much.

Dynamo walking on water HQ But his shoes, socks and cuffs of his pants got all drenched. That is real sloppy god-work in my book. Second rate at best. Must be christian. Top-of-the-line god wouldn't even be damp. Osiris wouldn't have had a drop on him.Factio Republicana delenda est.

Shame on you for being a billionaire. Save the planet!
"A lie can travel half way around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes." ~Mark Twain " *** We must realize that the Reformation world view leads in the direction of government freedom. But the humanist world view with inevitable certainty leads in the direction of statism.
