Our Uncle jar surely knows something about what is going on down there. Give us an updatee, jar as you know more.
I read about it all on NPR: Hurricane Hanna Heads Toward South Texas As The Region Confronts A COVID-19 Spike.

We must realize that the Reformation world view leads in the direction of government freedom. But the humanist world view with inevitable certainty leads in the direction of statism. This is so because humanists, having no god, must put something at the center, and it is inevitably society, government, or the state.- Francis A. Schaeffer
The whole war between the atheist and the theist comes down to this: the atheist believes a 'what' created the universe; the theist believes a 'who' created the universe.

Hanna has pretty much stalled at the coast and is likely to create major flooding in Galveston, Corpus Christi, Houston ...
the usual suspects.
All Quiet on the Governor Front!
But Hanna might inconvenience some of his supporters, unlike Covid-19.

At about 11pm Hanna's eye passed directly over the house. It was clearly defined on the local radar. Quite a few short duration power outages but no flooding at the house. Still too dark to see the rain gauge. Hanna is still just south of me between the river and the mountains. Still under Tropical Storm warning until midafternoon and flood watch.
AbE:
Lot's of sorrow from Hanna but then some humor can show up in even the worst of times. From a local news report on power outages.

AEP Texas crews have started to respond to customer outrages associated with Tropical Storm Hanna, which is expected to make landfall within the AEP Texas service territory Saturday.

Hanna seems to have an effect on Trump's wall he had put up between Texas and Mexico > But it was the very best construction, biggily time

Getting old and with a bad back is a BITCH!
I find that I can do debris cleanup in about 15 minute sessions before having to stop.

That looks more like the privately built wall a local landowner has been building on his own. It's poorly made and with no real foundation and has been washed out in areas just from thunderstorms.
AbE:
Looking at local rainfall maps the area just about a block south of me and the area just about a block west of me each got over 15" of rain.
Edited by jar, : add rainfall
